I own a HP Probook 450 G1.Often when my laptop goes to sleep(automatically or manually) it just crashes. Sometimes it crashes after waking up or sometimes I can't even wake it up(The lock screen shows up then it asks for the user account's password and then the blue screen comes up and crashes)

Note : You can see my specs below for more information

Hi SirDarkKnight & Welcome to the forums ^_^,

Unfortunately, the ZIP file uploaded by you does not contain any dump files for us to analyse. We would be needing the Dump files to analyse on what is happening with your system. Kindly ZIP up the dump files at the location : "C:\Windows\Minidumps\"

You might need to copy them to some other folder before you could ZIP them up due to permission reasons.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

See if you can find a Large Memory Dump file in the path "C:\Windows\Memory.DMP". If you can find this file, ZIP it up and then upload it using a File hoster like Mediafire, OneDrive etc.

Also, do a system wide manual search for the term - "*.dmp" in your C: Directory and see if you see any dump files or not.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

The Dump file blames the Network Adapter driver but since it is the latest driver, I won't be surprised if this whole problem is being caused by Avast Antivirus.
I would suggest you to remove Avast Antivirus using this **TOOL**.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

Thanks a lot for your hard-work. Can you tell me another thing, why it doesn't happen always? I mean how do I make the crash happen? Just putting the laptop in sleep mode doesn't cause the crash.

Hi SirDarknight ^_^,

You are welcome. The crashes occur only when there is a conflict. You encountered the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. The Windows Operating System keeps a check on the drivers about their number of ticks (Basically time taken) they are taking to have a job done. Sometimes, it happens that the main driver which in this case is your Intel Network Adapter is being used by the Avast Antivirus. Avast performed such an operation like an Update Request which took longer than the set number of ticks (500 in this case) and hence the Networking Driver was flagged by the Windows Operating System. I have highlighted the two arguments in my previous post which you could take a look at which helped me in this analysis. In case of any further doubts, don't hesitate to ask ^_^.

Let me know how it goes ^_^
