Hello,

Over the past couple of days, my computer has BSOD whenever I wake it from sleep. It runs (mostly) fine, and boots up normally.

Here's my diagnostic.

Thank you!

My Computer

System One

  • OS
    Windows 8
Your BIOS dates from 2012. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard. If possible, use the "inside Windows" flash mechanism (if your OEM provides one).

You have a Realtek RTL8723AU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter:
I do not recommend using wireless USB network devices. Especially in Win8/8.1 systems.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7 and later - using Vista drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have Win8/8.1 drivers - DO NOT use Vista drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.

These devices don't have drivers installed:
Not Available ACPI\INT3400\2&DABA3FF&2 The drivers for this device are not installed.

Not Available ROOT\NET\0000 The drivers for this device are not installed.

PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0153&SUBSYS_397717AA&REV_09\3&11583659&0&20 The drivers for this device are not installed.
The first item may be related to Intel(R) Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Driver - so visit the Lenovo website to download and install it. The second device is too generic to point at anything but maybe a network device - please visit the Lenovo website and update all network related devices/drivers. The third device is likely related to the Intel(R) Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Driver - so installing it as I suggested above should fix this one.

Lot's of Windows Updates failures in the WER section of the MSINFO32 report. If the problems continue, please post over in the Windows Updates & Activation - Windows 8 Forums for further expert assistance with this issue.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).

The memory dumps point to the driver for the Realtek RTL8723AU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter. Please visit the manufacturer's website to obtain the latest, Win8.1 compatible driver. Please do the following:
- download a fresh copy of the latest, Win8.1 compatible drivers
- uninstall the current drivers from your system
- install the freshly downloaded drivers
- monitor for further BSOD's

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web. Removing some drivers may make the system unstable - so if you're unable to find updates, post back for info on the one's that can/cannot be safely removed.

The drivers that are [DEL]struckout[/DEL] don't have updates available (AFAIK).
DO NOT delete them, just leave them be.

Should the BSOD's recur, post back and we'll try a few more tests.
Good luck!
