I'm looking at a possible hard drive error.
1) Run "chkdsk /r /f" (without the quotes) from an Elevated (Run as administrator) Command Prompt
The system will ask if you want to reboot to do this, answer Yes and let it reboot

2) Run these free hardware diagnostics (start with the hard drive test): Hardware Diagnostics

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web. Removing some drivers may make the system unstable - so if you're unable to find updates, post back for info on the one's that can/cannot be safely removed.

The drivers that are [DEL]struckout[/DEL] don't have updates available (AFAIK).
DO NOT delete them, just leave them be.

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Thanks for helping me, here is my results :

1. I did once and it stuck in 10%, later because my system says that I need to repair my disc in activities center, it goes normal and says that everything is ok.

In this point I also run hdd regenerator and it says 0 error.

I also use a Seagate tool and with disc first time says fail, second time was ok, third time says fail.

Its really wear this results, but with hirens boot the result of hdd is ok.

I also did a memtest in ram memory and it says okay.

2. I run verified, and select only the drivers that are not from Microsoft, when I restart, it creates New parameters in my account like it was the first time. I couldn't load anything, but it doesn't prompt me any bsdo

3. About the driver in red, it was the hotkeys, and I couldn't find any update from Asus.

Now what I have to do? Many thanks in advance

Repeated failures of different hard drive tests suggests to me that the hard drive is dying.

First, backup your data! If the hard drive is dying you only have a limited amount of time to save your stuff - so the sooner that you do it, the better it is for you.
Second is to make sure that you have the recovery disks/drive for your system. I have heard of problems with obtaining them from Asus, so I'd make sure that you have them on hand.

Then, depending on how technically able you are, you can replace the HDD yourself, or you can have a shop do it for you.
Then you can reinstall Windows (or have the shop do it)
Then you can import the data that you saved in the beginning and you'll be up and running again!

Good luck!

I bought The laptop only 2 weeks ago, when I took it to the store one week ago, they did a memory test and memory results were okay.

They suggest that it could be a driver thing because the factory defaults are Windows 8 and I did 3 upgrades and a lot of people have issues at the moment of upgrades to Windows 8.1. They told me to do a Windows 8.1 pro clean installation, so I did it now. I was installing every drive and everything was okay, except when I install the Intel rapid memory software, just at the moment of restart it gives me a bdso but it was so fast that I couldn't see the error type. So I erase it, but the the laptop ask me to do a check for driver errors since that, I did it but it didn't do it, and I think was because the bios was in factory reset. In order to make all the test in hdd I had to change bios status for disabling the security boot. (is there something that had to do with it?)

Whit Asus, they have backtracker program and with that I can put the recovery part and drivers and programs part in a usb, so I can restore it. Because Windows 8.1 didn't allow me to use factory default with his own system.

Whit this new information what do you think about the hard drive? It could be better to have two ssd memorys or continue with one hdd and the other ssd.

Thanks in advance for the help.

UPDATE: I was receiving some errors about written in memory and I am pretty sure that the Intel rapid memory driver and software had to do a lot with it, just after that, the system gives the notification of examinate for errors, so I did a clean install again but this time I didn't even see the Intel driver and so far no notification or anything or bsdo, I have done it just hours ago, I have to install all the programs again, and I will put here the news.

I saw my bios and all the disc are in ahci mode, I was reading about hibernation with Intel rapid memory and his relationship with raid mode but I didn't understand well (if someone can help me to understand this I will be really grateful and also, please how it should be the disc mode in order to work with Intel rapid memory). the ssd was partioned in two parts, one for Intel and one for express cache, now doesn't have any partition.

It has been two weeks with a lot of doing and redoing. If this doesn't work, I will go to the store again with the certain that the disc or some electrical problem is the reason of all of it.

The other thing that I didn't do so far is to transfer all the data from my external disc with the program freefilesync. The error drive notification came after this and the installation of Intel rapid memory.

I'm uncertain what is happening with your system.
If you were able to reinstall Windows and are not having any errors now, then I'd think that that was all that you'd need.

You can run hard drive tests from within Windows - and that way you don't have to turn Secure Boot on and off.
What did the shop say about the hard drive test failures?

IMO 2 SSD's are better than an SSD and a hard drive (assuming that the sizes are the same).

I would suggest searching the Intel site ( Intel: Tablet, 2in1, Laptop, Desktop, Smartphone, Server, Embedded ) for more information about the hibernation, Rapid Storage, RAID, etc

Good luck!

it gives news bsdo and finally it didn't start.

the first time, they run hdd regenerator test, memtest and crystal disk info and everything was ok. I had done myself this same control and no error. I also did the test with hirens boot tools, and nothing was wrong. But with seagate tool i cannot end the test because it says fail and Windows keeps me telling me to examinate the unit for error, i have done it and one time says succesfull and the other time couldn't start this last check. So i was just crazy about it, because i didn't have a way to determinate that the disc have errors...so i went to the store, they recheck everything and the sales man ask for a change of laptop, so they did it!!! :)

BUT with the new one, i did a clean install of windows 8.1 pro, i have my first bsdo with the new one caused by the atheros wifi driver, i update with the last one for it (for windows 8 from the manufacturer), but it prompts "check for disk error" message continuously, but this time, the hdd is from hitachi and every single program says it is ok, also the chkdsk runs okay always...i think might be something with express cache and ssd of 24gb, beacuse i hit once and the ssd just dissapeared from windows and returns after two restart.

the event log says: warning with win32k about a incorrect logic interval. error ntfs id 55 errors related to file system structures.

Why, if it was a new laptop, did you clean install Windows 8.1 Pro?
Where did you get your copy of Windows 8.1 Pro from?

If possible, please use the restore media to restore the system to factory defaults.
Then test it for a couple of days to see if it still BSOD's on you.
Try not to install anything extra, as that will help to rule out 3rd party programs as the cause.

Here's my advice:
- test the system the way that it comes from the factory.
- if you wish to make changes to how it operates, make a backup of the drive so that you can return to the state it was last working in.
- as you make changes, make further backups - so you don't have to start all over again if the errors recur.

FWIW - I use Acronis True Image for this purpose. While it costs about $40 US, it's been worth it to me. There are other similar free programs available, but I don't use them so I can't suggest one.

As this is a new system, we'll need a new set of reports please.
Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum): http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html Please use Option 1 as it provides Event Viewer logs.

Well I have news (yes I did a clean install):

1. I don't know why but when the system check for errors at the moment of Windows start, every personalize thing goes away, I can see the programs that I used to have in desktop, but in Windows start was nothing, when I use search engine there was no result, there wasn't any program in program list defaults of Windows. I couldn't use cmd or anything, usb ports doesn't work neither and ssd disappeared. Plus when I entered to recovery Windows default with usb recovery and attempted to install a point of restore, the system prompt that the the same system possibly damaged the image so no further action from there.

2. I have the recovery of the other same laptop, this Asus came with Windows 8 by default but I have a pro key. I couldn't extract the one of new laptop because asus trackback program didn't work and Windows 8.1 pro didn't recognize the recovery partition (which is a normal problem as I read here and in other forums)

3. I have done a new reinstall from other copy of Windows 8.1 pro. (i hope the problem is that I had a corrupted copy or something) the truth is that I erase the recovery partition now, and when this copy of Windows was installed, it only made 1 partition for recovery, the other copy of win 8.1 use to make 2 extra partition for recovery.

4. I had to install all the drivers all over again from Asus website (at least I have everything backed up).

I feel like in a joke movie or something. I really don't know what is happening, I hope is the copy of Windows.

This is very perplexing!!! :(

As this is a new laptop, please provide this info again: http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html Please use Option 1 as it provides Event Viewer logs.

Also, Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

Have you scanned for malware?
Did you use the same SSD on both laptops?
Did you use the same HDD on both laptops?
It seems that you used the same installation disk/USB on both - where did you get it from?
Where did you get the new installation disk/USB from?
What else was the same from the old system to the new system?

Since you have the same type errors with 2 different systems, I suspect that it's something that they have in common. Either hardware that you've switched, or software that you've reused.
