Constant various BSOD's

Hello,

I've been getting a bunch of BSODs ever since upgrading to Windows 8.1 (they were present in Win7, but to a lower degree); I've long blamed the RAM modules, but only last weekend I have tested them (both together and individually) using memtest and it all showed up to be swell.

I'm attaching the SF Diagnostic Tool results - if anyone has any particular ideas, I'd be glad to hear.

Thanks in advance for your time - much appreciated!

Your BIOS dates from 2010. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard. If possible, use the "inside Windows" flash mechanism (if your OEM provides one).

In the event that the system isn't compatible w/Win8.1 - you may have to consider downgrading to Win8 or Win7 in order to make the system stable. This is your choice. We will continue to make suggestions until you tell us otherwise.

Most systems have 60 to 90 or more Windows Updates. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Don't worry about the specific number, it's just important that you have checked and installed any updates that were available.

This device has problems. Please uninstall it:
SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface ROOT\ANDROIDUSBDEVICECLASS\0000 This device cannot start.

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.
Processor may be overclocked!
Expected Frequency: 2800
Actual Frequency: 3213
Overclock Ratio: 1.1475

Please uninstall EasyTune and EasySaver - they are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.
The drivers date from 2006 and 2009 and are likely not compatible w/Win8.1

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

ftvnic.sys Thu Feb 12 19:37:53 2009 (4994C0E1)
FortiClient Virtual Network Adapter
ftvnic.sys - this driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run. Please search Google/Bing for the driver if additional information is needed.

pppop64.sys Wed Jul 15 17:57:15 2009 (4A5E50BB)
VIRUS or PPPoP WAN Adapter from an unknown source
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=pppop64.sys

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web. Removing some drivers may make the system unstable - so if you're unable to find updates, post back for info on the one's that can/cannot be safely removed.

Hello,

Thank you very much for the report. I have already uninstalled the Samsung ADB driver and the BIOS is uptodate (yes, the mainboard is fairly old - as is the socket; thank you, Intel :|)

I'm seeing one the analyzed dump crashes on the Forticlient.exe process (the 24th of July one), which is exactly the VPN that has the adapters in red. Unfortunately that's something I require for work and appears to be already the latest release, so sorting it out is starting to look like a pain - and I'm not surely it'll explain the OTHER crashes. Anyhow, i'll remove the apps that can be removed (Gigabyte's bloatware, for example), i'll monitor the situation and, eventually, follow up if it continues to crash WITHOUT having the Fortinet process run.

Thank you.
