BSOD WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR out of nowhere

Hello I have a problem with my PC getting the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR bsod. It is a few months old pc. I am not overclocking or changing anything in bios, but sometimes (this is my third time) I get this bsod out of nowhere. This last time I was just watching some stream on twitch when the pc suddenly crashed.

I have everything up to date in windows update and every other driver as well. Everything in Open hardware Monitor seems ok. Right now as of 10 min after the crash, the CPU temp is at 38°C, fans are at 1400RPM

I am using Windows 8.1 Pro 64b. Here are my spec:

Intel i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz, Kingston HyperX 8GB DDR3 1600 XMP, GeForce GTX 660 with 340.52 drivers, Corsair VS450 power supply, Gigabyte GA-H87-HD3

Can anybody tell me what is wrong?

Let us know the results and we'll move on from there.

Seagate Backup drive has less than 2% free space. Please either disconnect it while we're testing - or free up at least 10% (15% is best) free space on it.

MSI Afterburner and Riva Tuner (along with EVGA Precision) are known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys). Please un-install them immediately!

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Please uninstall the program responsible for this driver:

part of a Copy Protection platform developed by Tages SA

Please uninstall the program responsible for this driver:

part of a Copy Protection platform developed by Tages SA

You may not find an update for this driver, if so please just let us know that you couldn't update it:
AppleCharger.sys Mon Feb 18 23:17:09 2013 (5122FCC5)
GIGABYTE On/Off Charge driver. See here for details - GIGABYTE ON/OFF Charge [br] May cause BSOD on Win7/8 systems - uninstall to test (haven't seen recently (15Jan2013))
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=AppleCharger.sys

Please check the Gigabyte website and update ALL drivers to the latest, Win8.1 comaptible version.

Let us know the results of the suggestions and we'll move on from there.

The ON/OFF utility does not seem to have any updates. At least the Gigabyte App center does not show me any. Also how can I find out what program is associated with the Tages SA?

Don't worry about the ON/OFF utility for now.
As for the Tages SA copy protection scheme - it came with one of the things that you installed on your system.
There is no comprehensive listing of who uses this, so you'll have to check each program that you've installed in order to see which one was copy-protected w/the Tages SA product.

Most of the references say that this generally comes on a CD/DVD - so I'd check those programs first.

More info on Tages SA here: TAGES, the AAA Copy Protection System and here: Tagès - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If unable to locate the proper program, then post back and we'll try to remove them manually.
This being a copy- protection program, there is a chance that we won't be successful (and my method won't bypass the copy protection scheme).

The thing is that I have heard of this copy protection system before and I would not willingly install any program that uses it, so I guess I will have to search more.

FYI - you probably did willingly install it - it was most likely packaged as part of a game or movie. When you agreed to the game or movies terms, you agreed to the installation of this software.

Since the drivers date from 2008, I'd first look at any games/videos on CD/DVD that you got between 2008 and around 2012 (when Win8 came out).

Here's the manual removal method:
1) Create a Restore Point using System Restore
2) Create a Repair disc (Recovery Drive in Win8.1):
Win 7 - Go to Start...All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc
Win 8 - Press "WIN" and "R" to open the Run dialog...type "RECDISC" (without the quotes) and press ENTER
Win 8.1 - Go to the Start Screen and type in "recoverydrive" (one word, without the quotes). That will start the recovery drive process. You will need a USB drive of at least 512 mB - and all data will be erased off of it. If copying the recovery partition the drive size will be much, much larger (16 - 32 gB drive required).
3) Test the System Repair disc/Recovery Drive to make sure that you can get to the System Restore entry when you boot from the disk/drive (you may also want to try actually using System Restore to make sure that it works)
4) Download this free program (Autoruns for Windows) and use it to disable any instances of lirsgt.sys and atksgt.sys that are starting (or any other Tages entries) (DO NOT DELETE - only disable by removing the checkmark in the left hand column)
5) Check in Device Manager (to include showing hidden devices from the View menu item) and ensure that any instances of lirsgt.sys and atksgt.sys (or any other Tages entries) are "Uninstalled" (DO NOT DISABLE THESE).
6) Check in the Services applet (services.msc) to be sure any instances of lirsgt.sys and atksgt.sys or any other Tages entries are disabled.
7) EXPERIMENTAL STEP (only try if you're certain of your abilities - I have not tried this step myself). Search the registry (use regedit.exe) to locate any entries that have the driver name (lirsgt.sys and atksgt.sys) or the program name (Tages). Delete these keys (it's advisable to back them up first - but you've also backed up the entire registry when creating a System Restore point in step 1. Alternatively, you can set the values in these keys to DISABLED (but the "how" of this is beyond the scope of this).
8) Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and rename the lirsgt.sys and atksgt.sys driver to lirsgt.BAD and atksgt.BAD (search the hard drive for it if it's not in C:\Windows\System32\drivers).

In the event that the system doesn't boot:

1) Boot from the System Repair disc/Recovery Drive and use the Command Prompt option to rename lirsgt.BAD and atksgt.BAD to lirsgt.sys and atksgt.sys
2) Boot from the System Repair disc/Recovery Drive and use the System Restore option to restore the system to a point before the changes were made.

Good luck!
FYI - this is the first instance of STEP 7 as the EXPERIMENTAL STEP
Please post back with any comments/suggestions that you may have (and, obviously, the results).
Thanks!
