I put the computer to sleep two days ago. I turned it on today to find it was off as of a few minutes after I put it to sleep. I'm not sure how or why this happened, or if it will continue to happen.

I should add that the battery was nearly full at the time so that can't be the problem.

Please follow the steps below, one step at a time :-

  1. Please remove Acronis till the time we are troubleshooting.
  2. Please update all the drivers above which have been highlighted in BOLD.
  3. If the BSOD's do not stop, please run Driver Verifier according to this **GUIDE**.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

I have a feeling it has to do with my BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.0. I removed it and it didn't prompt me to restart.

Otherwise my system has been running great with no BSODs. I've noticed that the highlighted drivers are mostly pre installed and there are no updates available through HP.

No, it's not solved. Unfortunately I had a BSOD when I woke it up just now.

Please take a look at my minidump file.

Before I start Driver Verifier or remove Acronis, I am going to experiment with my old BlackBerry remnants, since that seems to be what initially caused these issues. I removed the software with Revo Uninstaller, but a few things were left behind. The Bluetooth device remained so I removed that. Then I went into Device Manager, unhid inactive devices, and then subsequently found and uninstalled BlackBerry drivers under the headings "BlackBerry," "Bluetooth," "Disk Drives," "Other Devices," and "Portable Devices."

Normally when I wake my computer up, my Bluetooth activates and tries to connect to a device. Since my BlackBerry was my first device to connect to this computer, it would make sense for it to look for that first. Removing the BDS software, though, some of the files to connect to it are probably missing, hence the BSODs.

This seems plausible to me. I will continue to use it and see if I have anymore.

If I do, I will remove Acronis and then run Driver Verifier.

EDIT: So far so good! I put my computer to sleep and woke it up twice with no issues. I will update in a few days and let you know if it remains this way.

Hi Malickfan86 ^_^,

First of all, I must say impressive work. It is nice to see that you are actively searching for the problem as well. Such software are very difficult to remove completely as there are just too many files, services and drivers accompanying it.

Let me know how it goes ^_^. In case of further BSOD's I would like to see a freshly generated SF Diagnostic ZIP File so that it could be analyzed ^_^.
