I have a problem with my asus laptop pre installed with windows 8 and upgraded via store..my father borrow it for printing and after that in the same day i turned on my laptop and the blue screen with a message welcomed me

"Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
The Boot Configuration Data File is missing some required information.
File: \BCD
Error code: 0xc0000034

You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation
media (like a disc or usb device), contact your system administrator or pc manufacturer.

Press ESC for UEFI Fireware settings"

I googled about this problem and i learned that i need to have a recovery disk and i dont have that., but i managed to copy the recovery disk in my sister's windows 8 laptop(not updated to windows 8.1) and tried to put it in my laptop tried the step by step procedure that i read in the google but still it is not working..i just can only see the windows logo and after a few seconds my laptop restart and go back to the windows logo and it is just restart again many times...

You can make a startup repair drive on another Win8 computer
But you cannot reinstall Windows with this repair drive.

To make the repair drive, go to Start and type in "recoverydrive" (without the quotes)
Uncheck the box for copying the recovery partition as it won't be needed (it won't work)
Then boot from the drive to perform Startup Repair/Automatic Repair.
More details here: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/5132-recovery-drive-create-usb-flash-drive-windows-8-a.html

If you need to reinstall Windows, then you'll need a copy of Windows to install.
