Solved Crash when turning computer on (memory.dmp and others)

Hi people!
I have a laptop Dell 15r. Yesterday I decided to use the Recovery Media DVD Dell gave me and install Windows 8 from the beginning, after formatting, to have the pc as clean as possible. Of course, after installing W8, I installed W8.1 (always Pro version). I installed all the drivers and a couple of programs that I need (nothing that could ask for many resources or so...).

In the evening I started getting a crash report every time I turned on the computer (which now lasts a lot more to be turned on).

Here you have the report. Could you please help me? I hope I don't have to format it again (I guess not), but I'd like to have the computer as clean as possible (that was the idea of formatting, of course). I guess the problem is with some driver, but I'm not sure which one.

Of course, all updates are installed (according to Windows Update), and I reinstalled the VGA drivers just in case it's the problem (I think it was one of the last drivers I installed).

Thank you in advance!

As we can see from the Dump files that the Intel Graphics Driver has been blamed in every dump file. Please follow the below steps, one step at a time :-

  1. It seems that your laptop processor is overclocked. Please reset your OVERCLOCK by resetting to STOCK settings. This can be achieved by going to the BIOS settings and then resetting everything to default settings.
  2. Please remove your ATI Drivers using this **TOOL** and then install the drivers from the DELL SUPPORT Website for your model only. (Don't download from ATI Site).
  3. Please remove your Intel Graphics drivers from the Add/Remove Programs and then install the latest version from the Dell Support Website for your model. (Don't download from the Intel Website).
  4. Try checking if you are able to find updates for the rest of the drivers.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

Hi JPL90 & Welcome to the forums ^_^,

Hi blueelvis! Thank you very much for your help!

I've never touched anything that could OC my processor. I guess that's something normal in this one or so. I had even updated the BIOS the day before, so it's impossible it was OCed.

The rest worked :). I don't have that crash anymore. It seems to be a problem with these drivers. It's quite weird because I always install(ed) drivers from Dell, and for my model. Never in Ati's site or so.

There still seems to be a conflict with the Intel drivers. There are two menues (Graphics properties/options, twice each). It just bothers me to see them duplicated, but I least I don't get any crashes... (Of course I've already tried deinstalling and installing them but they're still duplicated).

I guess I'll just leave it like that. I've read I'm not the only one with conflicts with these pair of drivers...

Thanks again! It's nice to have my boot fast again :D.
