8.1 - Daily BSoD/Blackout Reset KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAIL

So, this started happening after I upgraded from 4770k to 4790k (or at least I think it started then, can't exactly remember), I keep getting BSoDs or blackout resets (Screen goes black and then resets the entire computer), I'm not sure what's causing this.
I've re-installed my Windows and it still does that (I re-install my programs immediately every time I re-install my Windows, so program could still be an issue), this is driving me crazy cause this is happening almost every day.

And yes, I have updated my BIOS before even installing that new processor, and I'm sure that they're compatible.
(It's an ASUS Z87-PRO by the way.)

I did an SFC /scannow, nothing unusual pops up.
I did an overnight memtest (memtest86+), no errors (7 passes?).
I've reseated the RAM, still does that.

Please follow the below steps and check for BSOD's :-

  1. Remove any software associated with the WinRing Libraries as they are well known to cause BSOD's.
  2. Remove any ASUS Bloatware ("ASUpIO.sys","ASUSFilter.sys","AiChargerPlus.sys","AsIO.sys").
  3. Remove Malware Bytes using this **TOOL**.

Try the above and let me know if it works or not.

EDIT :- Edited my post ^_^.

Hi Stillazure & Welcome to the forums ^_^,

Please follow the below steps and check for BSOD's :-

  • Remove any software associated with the WinRing Libraries as they are well known to cause BSOD's.
I'm not sure what's associated with the WinRing lib though.

  • Remove any ASUS Bloatware ("ASUpIO.sys","ASUSFilter.sys","AiChargerPlus.sys","AsIO.sys").

Also, I actually use ASUS's software quite often when I overclock, but I'll try to remove all of them and see if that helps.

  • Remove Malware Bytes using this **TOOL**.

God damn, Malwarebytes is involved again, a month or two ago I had to reinstall the entire system because how it had issues scanning my system causing similar blackout resets. (No BSoDs)

Try the above and let me know if it works or not.

Probably will have to wait for a while to see if that actually works out though, the interval of the blue screens take a couple hours.

EDIT: Off-topic, I'm actually surprised how "spvve.sys" wasn't counted as a third party driver.
It's the driver of SoftPerfect RAMDisk.

Search for the dll throughout your system (WinRing0x64.sys) and delete the software associated with it.

Please remove the ASUS Software till the time we are troubleshooting as they are well known to cause BSOD's. Furthermore, if you were overclocking in the past, make sure you reset everything to STOCK settings by resetting the BIOS settings till the time we are troubleshooting.

Yea, remove MalwareBytes.

Regarding the SoftPerfect RamDisk software driver, it is present in my list. Scroll a bit and you would see it.

I removed Malwarebytes and ASUS utilities but kept RealTemp (Uses WinRing lib), no crashes so far, but it's only been 6 hours, I'll report back in tomorrow.

EDIT: 19 hours in, not a single crash so far. I'll report back in after it hits the 48 hours mark.

If the crashes come back again, please remove RealTemp as well as the WinRing libraries are well known to have BSOD issues.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

It's been 59 hours, so I think it's solved for now, thanks!
I think it might be MBAM that was doing it, maybe I'll figure that out myself sometimes.

Please follow my instruction over here :-
http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...et-kernel_security_check_fail.html#post410931

as I see that the MalwareBytes is still present on the system along with the WinRing Libraries. Please remove any ASUS Bloatware as well. If you are not able to find any ASUS Bloatware then please rename those drivers. If you are OVERCLOCKING then please reset everything to STOCK settings.

If this does not solve the crashes then please follow this **GUIDE** and run Driver Verifier. Let it crash for a few times and in your next post upload the freshly generated SF Diagnostic ZIP File.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

Please follow my instruction over here :-

as I see that the MalwareBytes is still present on the system along with the WinRing Libraries. Please remove any ASUS Bloatware as well. If you are not able to find any ASUS Bloatware then please rename those drivers.

If this does not solve the crashes then please follow this **GUIDE** and run Driver Verifier. Let it crash for a few times and in your next post upload the freshly generated SF Diagnostic ZIP File.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

What the heck? I already uninstalled both Malwarebytes AND any ASUS bloatware.
And I already turned RealTemp off.

Well, according to the LATEST dump file, there is presence of WinRing Libraries (You would need to uninstall the software to remove them), Malware Bytes Driver File (mbae64.sys) and some ASUS Bloatware.

Also, I have edited my post for the Overclocking thing. Please read that as well.

Okay, well, after some digging, I've noticed that ASUS did a terrible job on their uninstaller.

EDIT: Deleted the services, removed all ASUS files, moved RealTemp to prevent it from running, and I realized Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit is using the very same sys driver that their Anti-Malware uses, got rid of that as well.

That seems to be a nice software which you are using. I'll take a look at that as well myself :p

Everything is a nice tool for searching, well, EVERYTHING, it's responsive and fast, beats the Windows searching service so much.
LockHunter is an alternative solution to Unlocker, it just works better, unlike Unlocker sometimes being an unhelpful douche and unable to unhook stuff.
Still had to remove stuff myself though, I removed the ASUS services by "sc delete".

Could you please disable SoftPerfect RAMDISK software? Also, update the highlighted drivers. If the problem is still not solved then please run Driver Verifier according to this **GUIDE**.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

Will try soon.
And I'm anxious to run driver verifier, last time I did, my entire system broke, I had to recover just the registry file to tell the system to stop the check and recover from boot loops.
