Hey guys,
Upgraded to 8.1 a while back and literally today I've signed in and its given me the issue of "Error signing in, assigned temp account".
edit: I checked activity log and found it was error 1511
I googled how to fix this, edited some registry settings more specifically "ProfileImagePath" located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList. One of the profiles listed had an image path of temp (which at the time I assume was the temp account I was on) so I proceeded to change that path to my actual account, in this instance it was "C:/Users/Luke".
However, upon restarting it appears to be in this weird limbo mode where I can access only temp account privileges (i.e. cant right click start button/access file explorer?/only some programs installed being listed) but I have my "Luke" profile background
Any idea on how to fix this/where even to begin?
Thanks,
