Hi BetterInBlue,

I have analyzed your dump files and they point to the Partmgr.sys , disk.sys etc which are Windows components and chance of them being at fault is extremely low. Below is an analysis provided for informative purposes :-

Now, below are the 3rd party drivers installed on your system which needs to be updated. According to me, this could be a system file corruption as well. I would advise you to run the command specified by BOOZAD after popping your installation disc and opening the command prompt from the Repair Options. This should probably fix this issue. But before trying this method, try updating the below drivers. I think your JMicron RAID Device is conflicting.

The drivers highlighted in Red are the ones which I think are conflicting. It might even be your Antivirus at fault. The BOLD And Underlined ones must be by uninstalling the software related to them. If the issue is still not solved even after dealing with these drivers, please uninstall your Avast Antivirus using this **LINK** and see if it stops the issue or not.

those are my results

Now reboot, and run sfc /scannow again, then repeat that step so you've eventually ran it a total of three times.

HI,

You'll need to really dumb this down with a step by step guide and pictures, I barely understand this. I have uninstalled my antivirus before to no avail and subsequently re installed it.

Not that I don't appreciate the assistance but speculative answers really don't do much for me and I would rather focus on solutions with the highest probability of success because this is my third time back for this SAME problem.

Please take me through what I must do, to not only resolve this situation but also to keep me running as many of the programs I already have, and if possible at a more optimum level. I'm confident to ask this much, because I'm confident that you can provide me with answers as you all have before for my previous problems.

So much so, that I refer you to any and all who ask me for my "expertise". This would be the worst way to fail me.

Thanks in advance.

Hi BetterinBlue,

Not being rude or something but, I only know the problems which you speak and your dump files speak. I think it is important to go step by step to eliminate the causes, at this time I do not think that I can pin point you to the root cause but only the possible causes.

Reading this slower made it more intelligible. jraid? sent me to site withe no direct driver to download, and I cant identify which product is mine so I can update the device.

plus one update is and xp update and it says I have insufficient storage space to run it

infact. none of this was useful

Due tothe age of the system, it's possible that it's not compatible with Windows 8.- you may have to consider moving back to Win7 in order toget acceptable performance.

Your bios is from 2008.
And the supportpage for your motherboard supports only windows 7 drivers.

As said in my post your system might not be compatible

But here are some "wild" ideas/suggestion. Hope one of them will work

This is the latest driver for your jmcron jmb 36x device
>32bit JMicron JMB 36x RAID driver v1.17.65.11 WHQL< (>MIRROR<)>64bit JMicron JMB 36x RAID driver v1.17.65.11 WHQL< (>MIRROR<)
These JMicron JMB36x RAID drivers are dated 09/17/2012 and usable with Win8, Win7, Vista and XP (32/64bit).
Bujt i am afraid you already has this one installed, check it.

Try updating all your Intel drivers, chipset, intel management, intel storage drivers etc., from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx
Try the intel driver update utillity

Your poweriso(scdemu.sys) is from 2011, maybe some virtual driver is interfering, update to the latest version 5.9 from here PowerISO - Create, Burn, Mount, Edit, Compress, Encrypt, Split, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter, Virtual Drive, DAA File

In your Bios check if your settings for your storage devices are right ( IDE/ATA/PATA etc.)
Check your system for faulty/loose cables (reset them etc.)
check your master/slave settings.
