Zip with my dump files from the past week has been attached.

How the BSOD came about:
  • PSU failed, took Motherboard and RAM with it.
  • Bought a new Motherboard, used an old PSU and old RAM (about 1 year old)
  • Installed my new equipment
  • Installed Windows 8.1
  • BSOD
  • Installed drivers
  • more BSOD

System:
OS: 8.1 Pro x64
Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
CPU: AMD 1090T 3.2Ghz
Graphics: AMD 6950 3GB
RAM: 8GB DDR3 Patriot
PSU: Corsair TX650
HDD1: 1TB WD Caviar Black WD1002FAEX
HDD2: 1TB Hitachi HDT721010SLA360

Monitor is attached to GPU via HDMI.

Peripherals:
Keyboard: Steelseries Apex
Mouse: Razer Deathadder
Headset: Logitech G35
Wireless Adapter: TP-Link TL-WN822N

Device drivers:
GPU: Catalyst 14.4 (downgraded from 14.6, as i believe that caused a couple BSOD)
Keyboard: Default
Mouse: Default
Headset: Default
Wireless Adapter: 1.3.1 (most recent)

Mouse & Headset drivers aren't updated, as they conflict and cause issues with my USB ports, Keyboard just hasn't been updated as i don't want the utility and works fine without.

Many different bsod causes, but many with memory corruption.

Please check your memory with memtest 86+

Is your memory compatible with your mainboard?

Are you using dual channel mode?
You have 1600 mhz memory, but the speed is 800 mhz.
Size 4096MB
Form Factor 09h - DIMM
Device Set [None]
Device Locator Node0_Dimm3
Bank Locator Node0_Bank0
Memory Type 18h - Specification Reserved
Type Detail 4080h - Synchronous
Speed 800MHz
Manufacturer Undefined
Serial Number
Asset Tag Number
Part Number 1600 CL9 Seri

What slots are you using?
According to the manual
Dual Channel Memory Configuration
This motherboard provides four DDR3 memory sockets and supports Dual Channel Technology. After the memory is
installed, the BIOS will automatically detect the specifications and capacity of the memory. Enabling Dual Channel memory mode will double the original memory bandwidth.
The four DDR3 memory sockets are divided into two channels and each channel has two memory sockets as following:
Channel A: DDR3_2, DDR3_4
Channel B: DDR3_1, DDR3_3
Due to CPU limitations, read the following guidelines before installing the memory in Dual Channel mode.

  1. Dual Channel mode cannot be enabled if only one DDR3 memory module is installed.
  2. When enabling Dual Channel mode with two or four memory modules, it is recommended that memory of the same capacity, brand, speed, and chips be used and installed in the same colored DDR3 sockets for optimum performance. For optimum performance, when enabling Dual Channel mode with two memory modules, we recommend that you install them in the DDR3_1 and DDR3_2 sockets.

There is a biosupdate for your mainboard, with "Improve USB device compatibility"

Here is the support/driver page for your mainboard, where you can find memory support list, windows 8.1 drivers, bios update GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3+ - GA-970A-DS3P (rev. 1.0)

- Will do this overnight.

- Done, everything checked out.

Is your memory compatible with your mainboard?
- It's not on the Memory Support list.

Are you using dual channel mode?
Yes.

You have 1600 mhz memory, but the speed is 800 mhz.
- The Bios picks it up as 1600, but when i get past post it shows 800.

What slots are you using?
-
[DEL]1+2, the manual says 2 + 4, but that doesn't work.[/DEL] 2+4 didn't work when i put it together, but it seems to now, still showing 800MHz

There is a biosupdate for your mainboard
- Updated.

This is ok, because you are using dual channel mode, in sort 2 x 800 mhz = 1600 mhz.

I completed 7 passes on memtest overnight, no errors, i have noticed however that my CPU and RAM frequencies keep changing, probably due to my bios/motherboard settings, but i can't seem to find anything to turn it off.
