BSOD on Boot - nt!CcTestControl Driver

Hi all

I have a new build I have done but seem to keep getting a BSOD on boot. This sometimes happens once, then boots fine the next time I attempt. I'm guessing that it's a third party driver causing the issue. I'm fairly tech savvy, but must admit that this area of computing is a bit of a black art to me.

The little I have gleaned is that it is a divide by zero error and this is probably caused by the nt!CcTestControl Driver. I also understand that this is a Windows service (driver?), so is unlikely to be the true culprit.

Any advice would be very appreciated.

Hi Swissola ^_^

I have analyzed your dump files but there I am not able to find anything directly which can cause the BSOD at bootup. Below has been provided an analysis of your dump files for informative purposes :-

Daemon Tools(Basically the sptd.sys driver) are fairly known to cause BSOD in Windows 8/7/8.1 systems. Please use this TOOL. Run it and clean the "SPTD.sys".

Furthermore, please uninstall the ASUS Bloatware found on your system. Above highlighted drivers must be removed from the system ASAP using appropriate tools. Please use this TOOL to uninstall Avast.

If the problem still persists, please post here back and I would be glad to assist you further ^_^

All your dumpfiles are SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e).Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt!CreateSystemRootLink+c01 )
When aWindows/system driver like ntkrnlmp.exe is blamed when experiencing a BSOD
it's most likely not the problem. Most of the time further analysis is neededto determine the actual cause.

There is one driver from 2011 Soluto fffff800`cf200000 fffff800`cf213000 Mon Feb 14 13:25:50 2011 (4d591f4e) 0001a55d Soluto.sys.

This driver predates windows 8 and could be possible the culprit. I found this website searching for solute don't know if this belongs to the app/program you are using https://support.soluto.com/home . But there is a download/update with windows 8 support.
