Various BSODs in Windows 8.1, usually during games

Hey, my PC's been plagued by various issues for a while now, such as various BSODs and programs suddenly crashing and unwilling to start again until a reboot. I'm hoping the fix for the latter is the same as the fix for the BSODs.

Since the blue screens usually seem to reference some form of memory, be it physical or virtual, I've had windows memory diagnostics do a bunch of extended passes, but it found no problems, and Samsung Magician says the SSD is fine too, which means I'm increasingly hopeful it's just a software issue.

Latest dump was made with driver verifier's help, by the way. Not sure if that helps any.

PC is an Asus Z87 pro mobo, with i7 4770k CPU and Geforce GTX 780.

Sorry for the delay in responding. There just aren't that many people who do BSOD analysis, so at times we get a bit overwhelmed!

Do your still need help with this problem?

Driver Verifier memory dump points to video
- update video drivers
- run the video tests from this page of free diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

A couple of friends suggested I check the system's stability in Linux by using a bootable USB stick, which crashed just as quickly, making them think it was a hardware problem after all. So for now, I took out the SSD and a memory stick, and waiting to see if the problem persists.

Video drivers are up to date, and I ran furmark, which ran fine with no problems, and the GPU only reached a temperature of 67-68 degrees.

For now I guess I'm playing the waiting game, if anything happens I'll be sure to post more details in this thread.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I did update other drivers thanks to the link you provided, 7 were outdated.
