You have low RAM. You have to have more than 4GB for gaming. I remember this happening, but with Sims 3 and Windows 7.

Thanks for the reply. I've been playing Dota 2 in this laptop for 2 years now with the same amount of RAM but no BSOD until now. I am planning to buy more RAM but I want to make sure that the RAM is the only problem.

[DEL]Please provide this information (even though you're not relating BSOD's) so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum): Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions Please use Option 1 as it provides Event Viewer logs.[/DEL]Sorry for this, I didn't see the logs at the bottom of your first post :(

While waiting for a response you can start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

Your BIOS dates from 2010. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

Only 148 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 170 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Razer Game Booster is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems. Please uninstall it.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disk-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics. Let us know the results and we can move on from there.

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, you can also try to run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings It may point out software issues that weren't obvious in the initial analysis.

Hi Redvjames and welcome to the forums ^_^

I have analyzed only your dump file which gave the Bad Pool Header error. As Ermate2000 already mentioned, you have very low amount of RAM i.e. only 2GB.

May I ask why you have installed the 64bit version of Windows when the minimum requirements for the 64bit Windows is 4gb of RAM?

One more thing is that most of the Windows components are not updated and date back to almost 2012 as John has also mentioned so please try updating them ASAP using Windows Update.

I also noticed that in the BSOD Stack, along with the call to deallocate the pool, there is a lot of NETIO.sys and tcpip.sys activity. For your information, due to the fast networks these days we have, there is a significant TCP/IP overhead these days which utilizes CPU and RAM because the IP addresses needs to be translated before they can be utilized. So, please ensure that there is sufficient CPU and RAM resources available. Also, which AntiVirus are you running?

Also, your Broadcom driver is not updated and there is presence of Broadcom NetXtreme II as well which is outdated. Please update these both.

Could you please do this test for me as well?

Start STEAM in offline mode which you can do by simply switching off your Internet connection and it will present you with two options. Start DOTA 2 and start a Practice With Bots Session and complete the game with them. See if the issue still persists.

Before launching Dota 2, please make sure that there are no unwanted tasks in the Task Manager and try to clear as much RAM and CPU.
