Hello,
I am getting BSOD after playing some games. It takes a few minutes to get it. But it's not appearing after playing LoL for some reason. I read the topic of the user with the same problem with me and ran FurMark. For like 10 minutes my GPU temp reached 100 C and my laptop crashed. But this is new problem. Before everything was ok.

My Computer

System One

  • OS
    Windows 8.1
    Computer type
    Laptop
    System Manufacturer/Model
    ASUS K53S
    Graphics Card(s)
    nVividia GeForce 610M
If Furmark crashed the GPU, then the problem is most likely in the cooling solution for the GPU (a properly functioning cooling system won't let the GPU get that hot).
Please:
- make sure that the fans are running
- blow out all the vents with canned air (DO NOT use a vacuum or air compressor as it can damage the system)
- use a cooling pad to ensure that the system is getting cool air.

If the problem goes beyond this, then I'd suggest posting over in the hardware forums for assistance in checking inside the laptop case. If the system is still under warranty, DO NOT open the case.

These devices have problems in Device Manager:
ASUS USB2.0 WebCam USB\VID_058F&PID_A014&MI_00\7&8F91D45&0&0000 This device is disabled.

PCI Simple Communications Controller PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_11471043&REV_04\3&11583659&0&B0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
Is the webcam deliberately disabled? If so, why? Please re-enable it and update it's drivers to the latest, Win8.1 compatible version. Feel free to disable it again after updating the drivers

The other device is likely your Intel Management Engine Interface. Please update it to the latest, Win8.1 compatible version available for your system.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions). At least one of your BSOD's blames it.
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disk-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

The majority of the memory dumps blame video - but we've gotta see if it's caused by the other things I've discussed in this post (I frequently see video errors in conjunction with Daemon Tools).

Thanks for the reply! It's just that everything was OK before. Can the nVidia driver f*ck up the fan? Because I can see it's not working on its full capacity.

I'm not real certain about the driver affecting the fan. Some video software has fan controls built in - but you'll have to check your system in order to be sure. I'd see what SpeedFan (free with a google/bing search) tells you about the fan speeds.

A rough and ready test is to run Prime95 (link to a download of it here: Prime95 ) and see if it kicks the fan onto "High".

I will give the laptop to service as I don't have experience with laptops. Thanks for your time! :)
