BSOD On Booting Windows 8 caused by ioStorA.sys

Hello EightForums,

I bought HP Laptop 14-n033tx with preinstalled Windows 8 last month. Few days ago after installing updates from Windows Update, the laptop was unable to load Windows. The system keeps looping on infinite loop showing the error message SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED(ioStorA.sys).

Because windows can't be loaded , I couldn't produce dump file using SF Diagnostig tools.

I also tried to recover using recovery disc created by HP Recovery Disc(6 discs) but the disc was unable to boot either. After boot using the recovery disc, the system still go to BSOD pictured below. But when I use HP Recovery Disc in others laptop, its booted successfully. Therefore its seem no problem with HP Recovery Disc.

I tested using Windows 7 & ubuntu boot disc in this HP Laptop, both disc are successfully booted.

I tested the system using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI & Memtest86+ and there are no errors at all.

Other information is Bios System Log shows Result 0021 so many times.

My number one suggestion will be : get your hand on a win 8.1 iso that includes all updates, and re install from scratch. Win 8.1 takes less than 20 minutes to install. Updates from 8 to 8.1 are most of the time glitchy .
If re install inst an option for you,then boot into safe mode, uninstall recent updates, check your drivers and elect that win doesn't install them automatically.Look closely at your graphic card drivers.

I'd suggest contacting HP for warranty repair.
If the diagnostics pass, yet the recovery disc won't boot - that says that there's another hardware problem that the diagnostics didn't address.

My windows 8 is OEM version, no product key is available.

I couldn't trigger to boot into safe mode if windows couldn't be booted.

you still can get the key man, and use it. And yes , you can at least try to hold like shift key, and hit power or hit F8,F12 ..BEFORE boot.You pc isnt dead,

My system using UEFI Bios & SSD.

From what i read on the forum there is no way to enter safe mode using Shift+F8 or F8 if using UEFI Bios & SSD
