The other day out of nowhere I got this error code upon the BSOD "BAD_POOL_CALLER" now I tried a few things to fix this and needless to say it did not work. So I decided to format the computer, using an Ubuntu disk I formated the promary hard drive to a Fat32 file system in a hope that the curuppted driver would be deleted or would not cause an issue. From then on I re-formatted the Hardrive back to an NTFS file system to re-install Windows 7. So I installed Windows 7, it went throgh the process alright and installed perfectly well. Now when I come to boot the OS it blue screens with the error code "0x490". I tried booting the hard drive on another PC and it works fine.

The only issuse I can imagine it to be is another hard drive effecting the boot process? To make it clear. I reinstalled a fresh version of Windows and the problem still exists...

Cheers

Check in the BIOS if you have the right mode for your harddrive IDE or AHCI.

Because it is working in the other PC, check the settings used in this PC.

Maybe the cable is faulty, use the cable from the other PC to check.
