Windows 8.1 crash when waking from sleep

I had a problem a few months ago on Windows 8.1 I was unable to solve so I reinstalled windows 8 and was able to put my computer to sleep and wake again. Upon re-updating to Windows 8.1 I once again have the problem of a crash when trying to come out of sleep.

I tried Windows 8.1 again because of hardware changes that allowed me to uninstall a few outdated drivers, but that did not fix the problem. Can anyone provide any insight into what may be causing it to crash when trying to wake?

Please find attached the zip file generated by the SF Diagnostics Tool.View attachment 39386

Andrew,

Some reason I cannot find your motherboard model. Can you either provide me with your motherboard or computer model so I can point you to drivers?

Some of the most common problems include bad drivers, heat inside the case, or bad programs.
To find sleep problems specifically, follow these guides:
Wake Source - Read Event Viewer Log - Windows 7 Help Forums -read sleep logs, let me know what it says
Power Options and Sleep Mode Problems -make sure everything is squared away
Lastwake Command - Windows 7 Help Forums -find out what woke your computer, and let me know
Devices - Allow or Prevent to Wake Up Computer - Windows 7 Help Forums -disable any device that you do not want to be able to wake the computer

If you do not know how, I can point you in the right direction after you give me your system specs. But I am basically going to send you to your motherboard's website to download and install all the most recent windows 8.1 x64 drivers for it. I'll look into this a bit more and then wait while you reply :)

I will see if there are updated drivers while home for lunch, since I overslept and had to rush into work this morning. My motherboard is a Gigabyte Z77X-UD4H.

Sure thing mate, and please don't feel like I'm trying to rush. Take your time.

After going through the suggestions, continue with this:
I kinda feel like some stuff is missing from the report you uploaded. If you don't mind over much, could I have you upload a new one? When you run the tool, don't change the name of the folder or move it. When you run the tool as an administrator, it takes a long time and looks like it isn't running, but it is. Wait for the bar to go all the way to the end, and a series of prompts will display to which you just press OK. It will tell you that it is complete, and then send it to a zip folder. The zip folder is the one that you name as your user name (cropythy), but the original folder retains the sf_... name.

Let me know! Take care

I am currently going through and updating all of the motherboard drivers listed on Gigabyte's site, but in the mean time I went ahead and reran the ST Diagnostic Tool and for sure waited until I had a message pop up at the end about it being ready to zip and upload. Please find that zip file attached.View attachment 39433

You have 4 hard drives. What is the make/model/wattage and age of your Power Supply?

There are problems with this device in Device Manager:
Logitech_LGVirHid49714 LOGIDEVICE\VID_046D&PID_C232\1&79F5D87&1&49714 The drivers for this device are not installed.
It appears to be a Logitech Gaming Virtual Keyboard. Please install the latest, Win8.1 compatible drivers for this device

The memory dumps blame your wireless drivers. Please:
- download a fresh copy of the latest, Win8.1 compatible drivers from the manufacturer's website
- uninstall the current wireless drivers/software
- install the freshly downloaded wireless drivers
- monitor for further BSOD's

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
