Good morning,

I recently bought new hardware to upgrade my system. The whole works, motherboard, SSD, i7 processor, new RAM.

computer name: STINKO-MAN
windows version: Windows 8 , 6.2, build: 9200
windows dir: C:\WINDOWS
Hardware: MS-7816, MSI, Z87-G43 GAMING (MS-7816)
CPU: GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz Intel586, level: 6
8 logical processors, active mask: 255
RAM: 8531210240 total
VM: 2147352576, free: 1917751296

Ill attach a summary exported from system information.

I get the
WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR 2 or 3 times a day. I found this mainly happens when I watch videos embedded in websites or browsing the steam store (when you browse a game there are embedded videos that play automatically in steam).

[EDIT] I followed the BSOD instructions and have attached the resulting .zip file.

Thank you for your help.

Fix Killer Gaming LAN like this:

MSI USA

Update motherboard bios to newest.

Please attach a screenshot of CPU-Z first tab, one of memory tab and one each for each stick of RAM of the SPD tab.

If you already know that you're overclocking on purpose (not saying it is or isn't), then set everything to default clock speeds.

Thank you so much for your help. I will do as you say with no variation.

I wasn't sure if you wanted the CPU-Z screenshots now or after I made the changes so I will post the 'before' screenshots now. If you don't need them, disregard them.

No, I am not trying to overclock anything. I just plugged the parts in and booted up.

It's good you posted screenshots - thumbs up on it all. Looks good all around.

You're welcome. The software fixes above should set the machine right.

I am still in the process of updating everything you've told me to. I am running into many problems trying to update my BIOS. If I update from a flash drive it just freezes and does nothing. If I update using MSI's auot updater, I encounter an error 90% through the update. I just dont know what to do.

I encountered another error if you dont mind looking at it please.

As you may have noticed, MasterChief has been banned.
I'll be glad to take a look here. Please excuse me if I repeat some of what MasterChief has posted.

Any particular reason why you're not using Secure Boot?

The Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service/KillerNetManager is known to cause BSOD's. Please follow the workaround instructions here:
First, open the Run dialog (Win + R keys) and type in "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Scroll down and locate the "Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service" and right click on it. Select "Stop"
Right click on it again and this time select "Properties"
In the dropdown box for "Startup type", select "Disabled", then click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the window

Next, open Task Manager (right click on TaskBar and select "Task Manager")
Click on the "More details" dropdown (if present)
Click on the "Startup" tab
Scroll down and locate the "KillerNetManager" entry, right click on it and select "Disable"
There may also be an Install Shield (with the Killer gaming K next to it), if so Right click on it and select "Disable"
Finally, restart the system in order for the changes to take affect.

At times the Killer Network Manager will continue to load. If so, it's usually listed in the MSINFO32...Software Environment...Startup Programs section. If it is, please try this:
It may be that the instructions aren't stopping everything.
In some cases, there's a program running out of the Program Files/Program Files (x86) directory.
"c:\program files\qualcomm atheros\killer network manager\killer~1.exe" (NOTE: killer~1.exe is most likely killernetmanager.exe)
In other cases, there's a program running out of c:\windows\installer\{Long string of letters, numbers, and dashes}\networkmanager.exe_130c27d738f34c89bddf21bcfd74b56d.exe (the long string of letters and numbers may change)

Here's some things to try
1) Please see if there are any entries in the Startup tab of Task Manager that are related to Qualcomm/Atheros/Killer Network Manager (and NOT the card itself) and disable them (please let us know what you find) Be careful as the wrong selection can disable the network card.
2) Check in "msconfig" for any entries that aren't in the Startup tab of Task Manager. Let us know if you find any Qualcomm/Atheros/Killer entries there (we'll disable them differently if they are there).
3) Locate the "c:\program files\qualcomm atheros\killer network manager\killer~1.exe" and rename the .exe to .BAD (the killer~1 is actually a filename that starts with killer and ends with .exe) There will be an error in event viewer, but it'll stop the bugger from loading.
4) Locate the "c:\windows\installer\{Long string of letters, numbers, and dashes}\networkmanager.exe_130c27d738f34c89bddf21bcfd74b56d.exe" entry and rename the .exe to .BAD (the long string of letters and numbers may change)

Just FYI - here are the MSI workaround instructions: MSI USA

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

There may be 2 separate sets of problems here - the Killer network manager is one, and the STOP 0x124 may be another.
First try the fixes noted for the Killer network Manager (and the other notes that I made). If the BSOD's continue after that, then we'll start looking for the cause of the STOP 0x124 errors.

Killer Networks Ethernet Card. Driver dated Mon Dec 3 10:42:37 2012 (? and earlier) has Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service BSOD issue. Workaround here: MSI USA[br]
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=e22w8x64.sys

So sorry to bother you. But you listed several drivers to update/uninstall. You say to uninstall "this one" and then list 2 more drivers. Just to clarify, should I uninstall the one and update/install the other 2?

I have begun working on this issue and here is my progress so far.

I have attached screenshots of my efforts to quash KillerNetManager.

As you can see, in the task manager there is no "KillerNetManager" entry, just the icon for it titled "InstallShield. I disabled that.

The second picture is my attempt to find "c:\program files\qualcomm atheros\killer network manager\killer~1.exe"
I couldn't find it.

The third picture I attached is the msconfig startup section.

Lastly, I couldn't find "c:\windows\installer\{Long string of letters, numbers, and dashes}\networkmanager.exe_130c27d738f34c89bddf21bcfd74b56d.exe"
So I couldn't rename the file.

NTIOLib_X64.sys Wed Oct 20 02:45:49 2010 (4CBE901D)
MSI Afterburner driver (known BSOD issues with Windows) Also found to be a part of MSI Live Update 5
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=NTIOLib_X64.sys

The reason for this is that this driver is seen more often in BSOD's - so it's best to test it this way.

The others are "update/replace"

As for the Killer thing:
The second picture is my attempt to find "c:\program files\qualcomm atheros\killer network manager\killer~1.exe"
I couldn't find it.
killer~1.exe is most likely the KillerService in the second picture. Rename it to killerservice.BAD
While you're in that folder, rename the NetworkManager file to NetworkManager.BAD also
Just noted the Application - rename it to Application.BAD also

Lastly, I couldn't find "c:\windows\installer\{Long string of letters, numbers, and dashes}\networkmanager.exe_130c27d738f34c89bddf21bcfd74b56d.exe"
So I couldn't rename the file.
- open up file explorer
- double click on the C: drive
- double click on the Windows directory
- double click on the Installer directory
- in the upper right of the file explorer window there will be a box that says "Search Installer" (without the quotes)
- type "networkmanager" (without the quotes) and click on the Search icon
That should help you find the networkmanager.exe file/files (the ones that end in a random long string of letters and numbers, then end in .exe - rename them to .BAD

Example:
networkmanager.exe_130c27d738f34c89bddf21bcfd74b56d.exe is renamed to:
networkmanager.exe_130c27d738f34c89bddf21bcfd74b56d.
BAD

Any particular reason why you're not using Secure Boot?

Ignorance is why. What is secure boot and how do I use it?

Secure Boot protects the system from being attacked during Boot.
If you wish to use it, you'll have to do it the next time that you install Windows
Just enable it in the UEFI and then install Windows from the original install media
There is no need to do it right now - only if you happen to be reinstalling Windows.

It's not recommended to remove individual drivers - as this can cause problems with your system.
Rather you should uninstall the program that uses that driver (in most cases)
In this case, uninstall MSI Afterburner and MSI Live Update

Yes, the Killer thing was what I discussed earlier. I forgot to delete that from the analysis results before posting.

Now we wait and see if the problems have been fixed...........

I uninstalled MSI Live update but I don't see MSI afterburner installed on my computer. I do see a program titled MSITrigger though.

I don't see the 'ntioLib_x64.sys' file anymore.

Let's see if I can make it crash. I'll go watch a few youtube videos.

Some of your DUMP files again point towards the Killing Networks Ethernet Card. Are you sure that the driver for this one was removed correctly?

This may be a hardware issue (maybe with the network card). Let's start by running these free diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

Please update the wireless network card drivers to the latest available from the Realtek website: Realtek (you can also use the Realtek PCIe LAN drivers from here if you haven't used them already: MSI USA Z87-G43 )

Please update ALL drivers from here: MSI USA Z87-G43
Start with the Smart Connect as it's the oldest. You will see the Realtek LAN driver here - you don't need it if you've followed the suggestions above.

Please remove SpeedFan. It doesn't usually cause problems, but as we're looking for low-level issues it might be worthwhile to remove it until the system is stabilized.

While STOP 0x124 errors are primarily seen as hardware problems, they can be caused by drivers.
Please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

+1 to usasma post about the possible case of hardware failure. In the meanwhile I suggest give this thing one shot as well.

Try this thing :-

Download The Qualcomm Driver Cleaner From below link :-
Driver Downloads | Qualcomm Atheros, Inc.

Download the second last option and run it to clean the driver.

Now, goto this forum and follow the instructions :-

Thank you so much for your help. I will get working on your solutions now.

I don't have a separate network card. Is there one integrated into my mobo? Should I return the mobo to the manufacturer?
