Doesn't matter what I'm doing - at first I thought it was my GPU failing, then it wasn't, cpu/gpu/ram all passed tests(memtest & burns). Tried reformatting the SSD. Still comes. Was running ubuntu for a testing period and that worked but I think it would be due to not being able to really do anything with the OS. I'm a complete mess and have no clue right now.

Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

edit: upgraded bios, same issue still persists.

Hi,

Yes, there is more than likely a hardware issue. It's probably due to overheating or overclocking.

Update the video card driver from NVIDIA.com

Download and run CPU-Z. Make a screenshot of the first tab, one of the Memory tab and one for each stick of RAM you have of the SPD tab. Attach here, please.

After, install the latest bios version 1301 which you do not have installed yet, which improves system stability:

Code:

Overheating makes a lot of sense. Constant 40C+ days. I don't overclock or mess around with anything like that. I really just want to find the component at fault to replace it - not knowing is the most frustrating part of all of it.

I updated the bios though - issue still remains. Took 4 attempts to even post this.

Yep, now we need to see CPU tab screenshot and one screenshot for each stick of RAM of the SPD tab.

DRAM frequency is likely too high for the modules, but we will see when the info is posted.

Those 3 are the attachment. I assume the picture was too wide so it converted it in to that format for the post.

Memory looks ok. The cpu is rated stock at 3500 MHz and when the screenshot was taken, it was at 3700 MHz.

It will probably be ok if you set the bios so it doesn't go over it's standard rating of 3500 MHz. (Disable Turbo or something like that. I would also check that the heat sink is on well too. If you put it on, make sure you used Artic Silver when doing so.)

If you can't figure out how to do that or whatnot, you can set your Windows power plan to max out at 99% cpu and lowest setting any number less than 99%.

I've got a NH-D14 installed and I've never had issues with it although I plan to take the computer apart entirely tomorrow(going to give it a good 12 hour rest to cool down entirely) and assemble it again. There doesn't seem to be that much of an issue with dust but I'll get a good clean going while I'm at it and apply some newer thermal paste.. The CPU clock is interesting - really not sure why it's running at 3.7(and even so causing issues at 3.7 is concerning) so I'll definitely look in to what is causing that.

I really wish it was the memory but everything about it seems to be running perfect. I'm really glad it's not the GPU(confident at this stage) as the burner test didn't cause a BSOD where as running the default Prime95 test would ensure one every single time.

Thanks for all your help so far. I'll keep you updated tomorrow after I get some work done and hopefully get it up and running again.

You're welcome. Check msinfo32 to make sure bios is really latest now.

Sometimes, cpus are created as a dud with very little if no overclocking room. It happens. So if you still experience issues after everything, see how it goes as shown above.
