    Getting BSOD every 15mins

Since yesterday, I keep getting Kernel Inpage Error like every 15 mins I turnd the computer on. It runs on pre-installed Windows 8 after I bought it new a year ago.
In the past, I have been getting BSOD, but it is usually after I wake it from sleep mode and the error is IRQL EQUAL OR LESS ..

I hope someone points me in the right direction. It's wonderful to have forums like this.

Uninstall Avast, then use the removal tool from them that you can download. Set Windows Firewall and Windows Defender to Automatic and start them too.

Uninstall OpenVPN software or whatever owns these drivers:

    2: kd> lmvm tap0901
    start end module name

If you don't know what owns them, delete the drivers.

Open Regedit, then delete the subkeys for them at this location:

Update all ASUS utilities you have, even if Windows 7 is latest for your model. Downloads/utilities section:

Uninstall DameonToolsLite and replace with PowerISO:

Thank you guys for the quick responses. I am really struggling to get anything done as I get a BSOD every time I open the control panel --> uninstall program or if I try to update a driver. I am typing from a different PC, the situation is pretty serious I guess and I am thinking of contacting Asus as it is still in warranty.

P.S. I managed to uninstall avast using the tool and following the instructions on avast website but so far not luck.

Every time I open up control panel it freezes and I get a BSOD. If I don't it tends to last longer.
