[h=1]CyberpowerPC AMD FX-Series 8GB DDR3 500GB HDD Capacity Desktop PC Windows 8.1 64-bit Gamer Ultra 2140[/h]http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229362

This started happening around 4 days ago but, since then I have system restored to a previous point and yet the problem has persisted. It has recently dropped below freezing around where I live which is unusual; however, I am in a dorm and the temperature has remained constant. I haven't really downloaded anything harmful that I am aware of in the past few days either. I also hope I got the dump files thing sorted out correctly considering there is no BSOD. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,

Uninstall Daemon Tools Lite then replace it with PowerISO.

You also have Conduit malware.

Delete all restore points. Run Malwarebytes to let it remove all it finds. Reboot then use Task Scheduler to delete the BackgroundContainer entry.

If you need more help from there on out, force a bsod on purpose then run the tool again to post it:

I would imagine it's saying that the last time the computer turned off, it did so in an unwell manner (maybe a hang or just lost power from the wall or a bsod - anything not "good"), but when it booted up again, all was well (it got to desktop fine.)

The reason I ask is because I've seen this before on a few computers. Usually I update the Nvidia update software and clear the override injection switch which can sometimes cause at least less issues, but not always.

Other times I'll have to run MBAM at full boar and that will for sure cancel out the timing. But i'm curious to know why this is the case.

I was on the "Run Malwarebytes to let it remove all it finds" portion of your recommendation and while reading a book a bit aways from my computer it turned off again. I am rescanning (doing a full scan).

Two posts up fixes your latest post. Yes.

Also delete the TidyNetwork one shown. That's to malware too.

Update from Realtek.com.tw:

Code:
Rt630x64 Rt630x64.sys Wed Oct 19 08:12:55 2011 (4E9EBEC7)

(It didn't cause anything.)

Update from NVIDIA.com for the Geforce GT 610:

Code:
nvhda64v nvhda64v.sys Sun Jun 16 08:38:07 2013 (51BDB1AF)
nvlddmkm nvlddmkm.sys Wed Oct 23 02:21:50 2013 (52676AFE)

Since you did not have crash dumps previously, and all your drivers are ok, and the nature of just "shutting off" - your power supply is probably defective.

See if you have another one from another machine to test with. It is the most likely and probable cause.

Power Supplies are pretty cheap these days. Newegg has a great selection to choose from.

It wouldn't hurt to run memory diagnostics either.

I am still covered by a year warranty from the manufacturers at CyberPowerpc. I emailed their support center about my issue and linked this forum. Thanks for the help. I'll keep yall up to date and changed my problem to resolved when this is said and done.

Wise move. Yesterday, I read some reviews at the link you gave. You're welcome.

So I called the cyberpower Tech support and he asked me to check my system temperature by pressing delete on start up then going to H/W monitor and my CPU temperature was at 90 Degrees Celsius which is way too high. So neither of my fans work probably is what he expects. The have been stuttering as of late; but I give it the ol' back of the hand feel and it never seemed to be running that hot anywhere I felt.

I've had a computer that has overheated in the past; I suppose this computer is larger and therefore would be harder to directly "feel" the overheating. Some of the reviews on newegg seem to match this diagnosis. I can either replace the part myself or send it off and get it back in 3 weeks tops. I don't feel entirely comfortable replacing the part but I am going to try to do the air in the can strategy to get it going hopefully (It doesn't break warranty).

So any ideas? Is this "solved" seeing as how I just have to ship it off and wait? He said I could have it a go to see if I could resolve it first.

Quite simple. If you trust the company is not going to screw you over and play "void warranty game", then fix things yourself and rely on their help/fixing as a backup.

If you don't trust them, just give them the machine and tell them to fix the hell out of it lol. :)

I do not suspect heat as the culprit, no matter how much attention must still be applied to fix that aspect. If heat was the cause of the crashes, it would still produce bsods, most likely as 0x124 stops. Heat is not going to prevent dumping memory to disk.

So fix heat problem, replace PSU if necessary. (Should replace PSU no matter what. It's likely cheap as hell and not good anyway.)
