BSOD playing L4D2 ,high perf power plan, bluetooth

Hello everybody,

I own my MSI laptop since last october.
I have random BSOD's, I would say 1-2 per week, and especially when I am playing left fo dead 2 (2-3 per hour), and when I turn the high performance power plan on (5-6 per hour).
I have a killer network card, and I heard that this card was the cause of a lot of BSOD. But I do not see the link between l4d2 and the high perf. power plan.
I always keep all my drivers up to date.
This is very annoying, I alwas leave my laptop on to download games on Origin/Steam, or to do other task and when the BSOD occurs, I am just wasting my time...
Can anybody give me a hand on this problem?

Thank you ! :)

Three obvious things need taken care of:

1)
Code:
4: kd> lmvm LGVirHid
start end module name
fffff800`0462d000 fffff800`0462f480 LGVirHid (deferred)

Update your Logitech gamepad or similar driver:

Product Support & Software Downloads: Gaming Products - Logitech

2)
Code:
4: kd> lmvm MBfilt64
start end module name
fffff800`04070000 fffff800`0407e000 MBfilt64 (deferred)
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\MBfilt64.sys

    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4

Completely uninstall Realtek software in the normal way you would uninstall any software, from the list. Then, use Device Manager to delete the above MBfilt64.sys driver. Right click on it, uninstall, then check the box to delete too.

Reboot and see if that file is gone from the driver folder. If not, manually delete it then delete its key from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services

Reboot again, then visit Realtek's website to download/install the latest HD Audio driver codec

3) Update the GPU-Z you're using, or clean out your temp folders with Ccleaner and refrain from using the version you have:

Code:
4: kd> lmvm gpu_z
start end module name

Thank you for the answer !
I updated my logitech software and I am working on the rest. MMMmm about gpu Z, I just installed it couple days ago, and I had my BSOD way before.
I forgot to tell that when I turn the bluetooth on, that create often BSOD.

I am using the lastet version of gpu z, the 0.7.5 .
I deleted the realtek audio driver and I am downloading the installer from the realtek website but it is taking ages.
I have the blutooth on and the power plan on high perf. and no bsod so far... Maybe that was realtek.
Wait and see ....

I did update my logitech software. There was an update available.
I also took care of realtek. Maybe I did not do it correctly.
I deleted the realtek high definition audio from the list.
I deleted the driver from the device manager. Then reboot.
I checked here C:\Windows\System32\drivers and I did not see the MBfilt64.
I finally I reinstalled the realtek software + driver freshly dowloaded from the manufacturer website.

Edit : I had another bsod : see diag attached

No, there is no other solution. Yes, drivers are too old. I don't know what else to say besides everything I have already.

I guess the only thing I can add is that since you're having such a problem updating Logitech stuff, best to uninstall all Logitech stuff completely from the machine before you try again. (Not necessary usually. Logitech installers and software are good.)

I deleted the realtek driver, uninstalled gpu z even if it was the last version, and tried to uninstall the logitech software, delete the drivers and then reinstall it but it keep installing the 2 "too old" drivers.
Anyway I had the BSOD before installing this softawre.

What do I do if I still have BSOD?

What exactly is all of your Logitech hardware?

We will use that info later.

For now, disconnect all Logitech hardware and do not use (just for now until this the machine is fixed.)

Uninstall all Logitech software and keep it that way. Reboot.

When a new crash happens, post the new crash dump, please.

Now we are getting somewhere. Dump is clean from all previous concerns. Now we can move on.

Please post a screenshot of CPU-Z's Memory tab and one screenshot each for each stick of RAM you have, of the SPD tab.

If memory is already adjusted well in the bios, which we will determine about, then the memory is defective.

You do have one driver left that is older than Windows 8 itself:

Code:
4: kd> lmvm libusb0
start end module name
fffff800`037e6000 fffff800`037f6000 libusb0 (deferred)
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\libusb0.sys
    Image name: libusb0.sys
    Timestamp: Tue Jan 17 12:39:27 2012 (4F15B24F)
    CheckSum: 00011368
    ImageSize: 00010000
    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
and it is known to crash Windows also.

You should see about that and should probably delete it in the exact same manner with Regedit too, like you did for the mbfilt64 driver.

Here the screenshots.
I will delete this driver too then.
But since I deleted the relatek high definition audio driver, I obviously do not have any sound from my computer.
What are the solution for this problem? Because I deleted it and did a fresh reinstallation of the realek software, but with the same old driver at the end...

The issue with your machine is that you are using mismatched RAM. Some from Kingston, some from Hyundai.

Choose one or the other, and physically remove the other not chosen.

OK thanks!
I will remove the 2x4gb kingston even if I prefer kingston than Hyundai. I will have 16gb then.
If this is the memory that causes the BSOD, how can I prove it? Because I bought my barbone MSI laptop from gentech PC, and they should know as profesionnals than mixing ram may cause BSOD??
