Hanging in there, huh?
1) Use my attachment by double clicking on it after extraction to delete the FreeRide games driver.
Its file name is X5XSEx_Pr148.Sys
Then open Regedit and navigate to here:
Look for the subkey for that driver and delete it. It may be X5XSEx_Pr148 or something harder to find. (When looking in the right one to delete, it will have that driver shown someplace in the right pane.)
2) Update the Realtek HD Audio codec driver from the follow link, and pay attention to the installer's instructions well:
RTKVHD64 RTKVHD64.sys Tue Jul 31 05:46:36 2012 (5017A97C)
3) Install this driver to update the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver:
4) Make a restore point so in case you do something wrong here, or just plain out IF something goes wrong and it's not even your fault - then you can revert to right before you did this and all of your previous good work will be kept.
iaStorA iaStorA.sys Sat Sep 01 21:01:24 2012 (5042AFE4)
After making a restore point, open Regedit then navigate to where you were before at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services
See if there is a subkey named LHDmgr. If you see that, delete it. Reboot.
