BSOD on boot, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION error

Hello, I'm hoping you might be able to help me here. I have been running Windows 8.1 for several weeks now without any problems - until today. I have started getting BSODs on every boot. The Windows 8 logo loads for a few seconds, then the following appears:

"Your system encountered an error, etc...
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (igdkmd64.sys)."

The error persists after multiple attempts. I am able to boot into safe mode, however. Does anyone know what might be the problem, and if so, how to go about fixing it? The diagnostic dump is attached. Thanks much.

Hi

Although the crash dump blames igdkmd64.sys (Intel HD Graphics Driver) as the reason behind the crashes, it is no the real culprit here. It seems that the Lucidlogix Virtu MVP GPU Virtualization software which is playing the villein role here.

I have seen similar issues created by this software before (even two days before). Please uninstall all the components of this crapware from the system and your issue will be solved.

Thank you SO MUCH. That solved it for me.

I hunted down everything related to LucidLogix and Virtu MVP and deleted them. That made me able to update those haunted Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 drivers and proceed with Windows updates.

Thanks a million, you're my saviour today!
