You'll have to run Startup Repair from the Win8 installation DVD.
Dunno how well it works in Win8, but in Win7 you had to run it at least 3 times.

Good luck!

Me too experiencing this problem. Actually my laptop goes to automatic repair automatically and scans and fixes drives. Here is what you need to do:

First try to boot to Windows 7 and launch the automatic repair. Windows will ask it to attempt and all you need to do is to follow the on screen instructions.

Then boot with Windows 8, in GUI boot menu, choose other options, then troubleshoot and then automatic repair. Windows will again scan and fixes drive (it may take hours :(). Then finally Windows will reboot and got the things as usual working :).

There is no guarantee that this problem will not occur in future again :what:

Could you please clarify "First try to boot to Windows 7 and launch the automatic repair." how can I start automatic repair ?

2."Then boot with Windows 8, in GUI boot menu, choose other options, then troubleshoot and then automatic repair." what other options I have to choose.

As expected, actually I got my system rebooted several times, once I got booted to Windows 7, it prompted to automatic repair (even I don't know how this happens:what: but I attempted the automatic repair for 7, everything in this case is happening at its own will, first this error and then this!). Then Windows rebooted automatically.

No other options to opt for, you have to select the automatic repair, nothing else. Windows will first prepare for automatic repair and rest is "automatic''.;)

Thanks man, my Windows 7 was working fine, I only had an issue with Windows 8. I did attempt automatic repair 3 times as recommended but to no avial.

Now some how my Windows 7 has got into bootloop ( it boots until mouse pointer appears then it restart).

I will be doing a clean install of Windows 8 after deleting the MBR.
