Hi

Your BSOD issue seems to be probably caused by "AMD display driver".

Code:
BugCheck C2, {7, 11c1, 5040302, fffff8a018db5610}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for atikmdag.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for atikmdag.sys
GetPointerFromAddress: unable to read from fffff80189371168
GetUlongFromAddress: unable to read from fffff801893711f8
Probably caused by : [COLOR=#ff0000][B]atikmdag.sys[/B][/COLOR] ( atikmdag+b3254 )

Driver Reference Table - atikmdag.sys

The driver seems to be outdated.

Code:
Loaded symbol image file: atikmdag.sys Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\atikmdag.sys
    Image name: atikmdag.sys
    Timestamp: [COLOR=#ff0000][B]Fri Mar 29 07:57:04 2013[/B][/COLOR] (5154FBF8)

Please follow the below steps.

1. Uninstall currently installed AMD display driver in the proper way.

How-To Uninstall AMD Catalyst Drivers From A Windows Based System

2. Download and install the latest WHQL version of the driver from the below link.

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/13-9_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql.exe

While installing, choose "Custom" and deselect everything except the "AMD Display driver".

Let us know how the system works now.

I followed what you suggested and installed everything without any hitches. Went on about my normal business trying to reproduce the error and all seemed well. Finally, under the exact same circumstances, switching into a game after looking at a web browser I got another BSOD. This time it was system_service_exception. Logs posted and thank you for the help.

Only 107 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 150 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.
Please un-install all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Un-install a program
Then, download (but DO NOT install) a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from http://ati.amd.com (in the upper right corner of the page)
Use this procedure to install the DRIVER ONLY: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure - Sysnative Forums

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Un-install". Reboot for changes to take affect.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's. If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking.

Lot's of Live Kernel Events - may be a sign of low-level driver/hardware problems.
Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Rt630x64.sys Wed Oct 19 08:12:55 2011 (4E9EBEC7)
Realtek PCI/PCIe Adapters
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=Rt630x64.sys

This appears to be a video problem - but we just don't know if it's hardware or software.
Ensuring that you have all Windows Updates, updating the Realtek driver above, and removing AMD OverDrive should tell us if it's software or not (the Event Viewer stuff will also give us some clues).
Should the BSOD's continue after fixing those things, then it's time to start looking for a hardware cause.

If you'd like, you can get a head start on these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics I'd start with the video tests first - then move on to the other tests if the video stuff doesn't reveal any problems/crashes.

Good luck!

Thank you for all the help and suggestions. Ive done a lot of windows updating which I think might be the majority of the problem as a lot of crucial windows updates were missing. Further more I followed the directions for the live kernel events log and included it in my post. However, I have had two problems with what you suggested.
1. Following your link to update the realtek driver at "http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=Rt630x64.sys" left me a bit confused. I followed the link on that page to "http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=7&PFid=10&Level=3&Conn=2" but was not really sure what to click on.. exploring my options did not leave me to find a diver download. Some help and/or clarification with that would be greatly appreciated.
2. Trying to find the AODDriver2.sys in device manager was not possible as once expanding the view to show hidden devices there was no option for "Non plug and play drivers" section. Ive included a cropped SS of the expanded view to make sure I did not miss it.
I am going to try and go about things normally and see if I run into any more problems or BSOD's and hope that the Windows updates were the source of the problem; and of course, once more information is provided for the other two options explore those. Thanks again for you time!

    Windows 8
    Computer type
    PC/Desktop
The Admin event log shows a lot of issues with UEFI/BIOS changes - you may need to update both the UEFI/BIOS and the chipset drivers (along w/Windows Updates) - but hold off on that for now (do it once the system has stabilized).

You have a Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller (PCIe = PCI Express and GBE = GigaByte Ethernet)
So this is the link to the driver for your system: Realtek
Make sure that you get the one for Win8/8.1

Don't worry about the AODDriver - that step was for those cases where the problem didn't go away when doing the first steps.
