Hello
I am hoping I can type this out before the machine crashes again. I bought this Toshiba laptop (U840W) recently. It is an intel core i5 with 6 gb ram and a dual SSD/HDD setup. I bought it in July of this year and it has been running fine except the last few weeks when it has started randomly giving me BSODs with the text "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION", it crashes and restarts. There is no pattern to the restarts (in that they happen at any time) other than the screen suddenly goes dim, the keyboard stops working and a minute later, I get the BSOD.
Minidumps for the most recent crash can be found here: http://rapidshare.com/share/C225DA879FA913D5E36FF79D7A8C65E5
SF_Diagnostics grab is attached to this post.
I have tried:
- Updating all drivers that had updates (wireless, display, general toshiba drivers)
- Updating to Windows 8.1
- Uninstalling unneeded software
- Turning off firewall, updating and running Windows Defender
Please, any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
