BSODs on Windows 8.1 fresh install

Hello, first time poster here. For the past couple of months, I have been noticing unexpected freezes on Windows 8. Since I have access to MSDN, I decided to do a fresh install of Windows 8.1 to see if it solves my problem.

Now, when it freezes, it actually shows me some useful information. BSOD is labled as BAD_POOL_HEADER and I have grabbed the 2 dump files and other info in the zip file attached to this post.

Memtest and Chkdsk show no problems after running both. Memtest did about 6 passes last night without any errors so I know for sure it's not a problem with my RAM. Chkdsk showed no errors after running it in my 8.1 bootable USB so my SSD is fine. I also have the latest Kingston SSD firmware. NVIDIA Graphics card drivers are also updated to support Windows 8.1. Still not sure what's causing it.

BlueScreenView shows the following confilcts:

I would really appreciate if someone could walk me through troubleshooting this. Thanks!

Update: Just had another BSOD.

This time it's tcpip.sys that's messing it up.

The new SF zip has been uploaded.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [DEL] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/DEL] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).

Your BIOS dates from 2008. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

There is a good possibility that the BIOS is not fully compatible with Win8 (I had this with my Lenovo laptop with a 2008 BIOS). If so, the strange errors will keep popping up. I reverted back to Win7 as the errors were too much for me to take.

I'll try and post more in depth info on the memory dumps this afternoon (about 8-9 hours from now).

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Thank you so much for the reply!

I have gone ahead and uninstalled Daemon Tools and removed SSPORT.sys from the Registry after making a restore point. As for the NVIDIA drivers, I'm not sure what update to install. For the BIOS update, I'm not taking the risk in bricking my BIOS. I'd rather live with an old BIOS firmware.

This is the page I found that supports my nForce 4 chipset: NVIDIA DRIVERS nForce Driver Version 15.49 WHQL
However, Windows Update seems to have installed the latest version already so I assume I have the latest version of my chipset driver. If anyone could help me find even newer drivers, that would be great.

As for the Wireless adapter, I have disabled it in Device Manager as I only use wired connections these days. I hope this brings some improvement and stops any BSODs from happening.

If possible, please remove the wireless device from your system and uninstall it's software.
If not possible, then please enable it and update it's drivers - then feel free to disable it again.
The point here is that Windows loads the drivers for the device even though it's disabled.

As for the BIOS and the nVidia drivers - this may mean that your system is not fully compatible w/Win8. If that's the case, you'll continue to receive errors no matter what we do.
