Hey guys
So yeah, the title says it all. I'm also having problems getting the crash dump with the diagnostic tool. o_O
It isn't creating a folder on my desktop. I've enabled crash info collection, too. Any help would be appreciated. :)

Edit: Nvm. Got the crash dump. It saved it on my other drive for some reason :p. Uploading now.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol 52% software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [DEL] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/DEL] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disc-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Please uninstall the Razer GameBooster software as it's known to cause BSOD's on some Windows sytems.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

It's not unusual for BSOD's to begin after installing Windows Updates.
This can be due to either a problem with the update - or a problem with 3rd party drivers that aren't compatible with the new changes caused by that Windows Update.

If it's a problem with the Windows Update, you'll see many, many posts about it on the web.
Microsoft will scramble to issue a fix - so keep an eye out for hotfixes.

Also, if it's a common 3rd party driver problem, Microsoft will also scramble to issue a fix (this was the case with the update that broke systems that were loading AMD and Intel processor drivers - the OEM caused the problem (they were trying to save money), but everyone jumped in to try and fix it.

Finally, there'll be broken 3rd party drivers that aren't as common - so you won't see much about them on the web. This is the reason that we recommend updating older drivers when encountering BSOD's

Okay, the problem still occurs after I uninstalled most of the suggested drivers. Attaching crash dump analysis.

My Computer

System One

  • OS
    Windows 8 Pro 64-bit
Please note that the last memory dumps before this were almost a month ago. This can be a whole new, separate problem - but it still involves tcpip.sys, so that makes our job just that more difficult.

Also please note that you have upgraded the system to Win8.1 - which opens up a whole new set of problems. How did you install Windows 8.1? From the Windows store, from a disk, from a download, etc?

I would suggest uninstalling the disk accelerometer software.

I would suggest searching http://downloadcenter.intel.com for the Intel Management Engine updates
Try this one first: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=21888
If it doesn't work, search their website for more.
If that doesn't work, then try this Google search: https://www.google.com/search?q=int...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

[DEL]Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

The problem really never went away so I think the cause should still be the same. I used the store to upgrade to 8.1. I can't seem to find the accelerometer software. Any clue where it could be?

Okay, I updated Intel Management Engine and uninstalled the accelerometer. Tried booting up after hibernate, and I'm still blue-screening. Attaching the crash dump.

Try this link: Drivers & Downloads | Dell US
Under the System Utilities section, get the ST Micro Free Fall Sensor Driver
I can't tell if the older driver is a part of this package or not - run in Compatibility mode for Win8 (I don't know if that works on 8.1 or not - so give it a try).

Then wait to see if the BSOD's recur.
If they do, please zip up the contents of C:\Windows\Minidump and upload it with your next post.
If you have problems zipping it, try copying it to your desktop and then zipping it.

The above dump is after I uninstalled the accelerometer and installed the drivers. It still blue screened on start-up. Any suggestions?

Sorry, I didn't see that post.

The dumps from 23 Oct still show the accelerator installed
The dump from 24 Oct is corrupted and won't open. Please upload it again.

Please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings
Please note that both of the 23 Oct dumps blame tcpip.sys. As such, I'm hoping that Driver Verifier will pin down the name of a network related driver that's causing this.

Here's the stuff from the 23 Oct dumps:

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
