Envy 6t-1200
Windows 8 pro 64 bit
My computer would not boot up into windows so I attempted to use the usb recovery disc to recover it back to factory condition. It went through hp recovery manager and restarted and showed the installing software window and restarted a couple of times. The last time it restarted it showed a blue screen stating the following.
Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
The boot configuration data for your pc is missing or contains errors.
File: \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD
error code: 0xc000014c
You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or pc manufacturer.
Press Esc for UEFI Firmware Settings
I have tried to use the USB again but it will not detect it. If I hit Esc the only options that will work are f1 for system information and f2 system diagnostic. F9 boot device options, F10 bios setup, and F11 system recovery will not work and go back to the same blue screen. I have ran a quick and extensive hard drive test and a memory test and they all passed. I have tried to use a windows 8 installation disc using my external disc drive but it will not read it either.
Thank You for your help.
