Kernel data Inpage Error BSOD after waking up from sleep

Hi,

I've install Windows 8 on my computer some days ago, and sometimes (50%) when waking up from sleep, windows do a BSOD Kernel data Inpage Error. I've read that it could be a MBR issue, but i've done chkdsk /f /r without result. So I assume it's a driver issue. Can you help me find the bad one ?

Thank you in advance,

Xjet

Hi,

I've tried other stuff like running verifier (windows tools) and didn't do any bsod, I've tried to use device manager update tools on some devices but without finding anything...

Sometimes, when I wake up the computer from 10sec of sleep, it says process died error (or something like that) with a bsod.

I will keep trying stuff until I found something.

I begin to think that I've solved the issue by desactivate some startup programs, but I've just got Critical Process Died BSOD.

I've let you the log

So, new day, new BSOD... I was thinking I solve the issue yesterday, but no. THat's what I've tryied : I've boot in advances mod and tryied to do Automatic Repair, but it failed at some point (need a reboot) either it's stop at preparing auto repair...
I've run win and put it in sleep, on wake up, bsod and after windows do a system check on SSD, reboot and after a automatic repair which was same result as before (no end, so I force restart).

I've count 5 BSOD with critical process died, no more inpage error. I'm note sur it's better but :/

So I've made some reading, and here is what I will do : research malware with malware bytes, if nothing found, I will do a Refrech Windows from advanced boot.

BTW, i've debug the ast dump and I have this, if anyone know what it is :

Sorry for the delay - there's not many of us who do this, and I had family problems over the last couple of days.
I'm catching up slowly - so I apologize for the delay in responding to your post.....

The memory dumps point to a problem with disk hardware. I'd run these free diagnostics before proceeding: Hardware Diagnostics (obviously, the disk/hard drive tests are the most important at this point).

If the hard drive(s) pass the tests, then proceed with the rest of this stuff.....

Only 67 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 80 - 100 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

You have a Carte USBÿ2.0 to Fast Ethernet ASIX AX88772B
The laptop should have come with an ethernet port built in.
Why use the USB adapter?

I have seen issues with USB wireless devices - but not with USB wired devices.
I'd keep an eye on this device "just in case".
To test it, try using either the wireless or the built in wired connection (remove the USB device and uninstall it's software).

SSD's were temperamental when they first came out, but their reliability has improved greatly over the last year or two. There are 2 things that MUST be checked on systems with BSOD's and SSD's:
1) That the SSD firmware is the latest available for the SSD
2) That the storage controller drivers on the motherboard are the most recent. They must date from late 2012 or later. This is ALL controllers, not just the one that the SSD is attached to.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Thank you for you answer, I will run hardware test after install all available windows update. About my Ethernet USB card, it's because i'm on a ultrabook (Asus UX31E) which have no ethernet card.

About Sentelic driver, it's the only one where gesture is available, Asus havn't released a win8 driver for it.

will check for other driver after.

BTW, my computer go to sleep during dinner, on wake up, kernel inpage error.

EDIT : I've run memtest 1pass, 0errors (23min last), is I need to do more pass, don't hesitate to tell me :)
EDIT 2: windows update fail to download this update : KB2769166 : An update is available to update the digital signature on the files that are produced by Microsoft in Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 don't know how to make it work, i've tried the windows problem resolver for windows update, solve the issue until I try do make the update.

Don't worry about the other things until you've tested the hard drive.
If the hard drive is bad, then there's no need to do anything else (as you'll have to replace the hard drive and reinstall Windows).

It looks as though you may have used HDTune to scan the SSD.
1) the SSD must have the latest firmware in order to reliably use HDTune ( HD Tune website - scroll down for the free HDTune - HDTune PRO is NOT free)
2) I cannot read the data you posted, please post a screen shot instead (it does say status "Good") using HDTune (
3) Contact AData for service on this part: FAQs_Support_ADATA Technology

If it turns out to not be the SSD, then you'll have to look at updating the storage controller that runs this disk.
The only storage controller that I see in the dump files is the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) driver dated from mid-2012.
I would strongly suggest updating this driver to one from early 2013 or later (if not available at the Asus website, then try the Intel Download Center at http://downloadcenter.intel.com )

here is the result for HD Tune (run in windows, 0% domaged blocks). Will try to use IRST driver from Intel and not from Asus. Come back soon.

EDIT : from IRST page on Asus Support : ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download IRST there is newest driver, will try this one before. BTW, on Intel® Driver Update Utility it says my Graphics Driver ( HD3000) is from Asus, should I use Intel one ?

EDIT 2 : 4 wake up from sleep successfull...

Seems like with the new IRST drivers from asus support website (for all Asus netbook, not only UX31E) it fix the issue (7 sleeps whi no BSOD)? I will keep you in touch if error happen again.
