Hey guys,

I keep getting these random tcpip.sys bsods, they sometimes happen when i download something(larger files like 5+ gb) they something happen when i play something ,for instance just now i was playing FIFA2013 and during the game for no reason i got this bsod..

I saw few threads mention that anti-virus programs may relate to this bsod, but i dont use any anti-virus programs.

Your BIOS dates from 2008. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

Due to the age of this system, it may be that it's not fully compatible with Win8 and you may want to consider downgrading to Win7.

No Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 80 - 100 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

These devices have problems in Device Manager:
Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter ROOT\KDNIC\0000 This device is disabled.

Multimedia Controller PCI\VEN_1131&DEV_7133&SUBSYS_90051458&REV_D1\4&30D54F48&0&00F0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
The first one is disabled. Is this deliberate? If so, why? The second one doesn't have drivers installed. Please visit the manufacturer's website and download/install the latest, Win8 compatible drivers for this device.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [DEL] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/DEL] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disc-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Out of 5 memory dumps there were 4 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers) - hardware compatibility due to the age of the system
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

You can get a head start on the hardware diagnostics if you'd like - they are located here: Hardware Diagnostics

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

hey man thanks for a quick answer,
I updated my realtek drivers and uninstalled daemon tools, now about the other things you mentioned "microsoft kernel debug network adapter" was disabled by me because i've read on couple of forums that it may cause tcpip.sys error, is it wrong ? there is still 1 more network adapter "realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller" but seems like disabling it didnt realy help since im still getting errors when downloading bigger files my internet just seems to drop to 0/kbs speed and then i get tcpip.sys error.

Ive also seen people saying i should update my network drivers but what the hell is that ? i use Pirelli a125 modem even tho i have fiber internet with 100 up and 100 down, why do i even need modem LOL ? i've tried searching for pirelli a125 drivers but i coudnt find absolutely nothing.

Another thing you mentioned that may be causing these BSODS, Multimedia Controller ? I also have no clue what the hell that thing is and what does it do ? Its located in Other devices section on device manager

"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver."

Location : "PCI bus 5, device 0, function 0"

provider unkown , driver date unavailable, driver version unavaiblable etc etc nothing is available i have no idea what it does or where can i get its drivers lol, any ideas?

I don't think that there is a problem with the Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter - I just asked because often a device is disabled because it's causing problems - and that's a clue for our troubleshooting.

Network drivers are the drivers needed by your computer to permit network traffic. Most often they are the drivers for the wireless and wired adapters built into your computer. The "Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller" is the wired adapter on your computer. It was outdated and needed updating. Try the download from the Realtek site here: Realtek (the 4th one down is for Win8)

Disabling a device may not fix the problem if the problem is a driver and that driver is loaded before the device is disabled by Windows. It's not a common occurrence, but it does happen.

The Multimedia device looks like it's related to a Phillips or Beholder TV Tuner. Do you have one of those (or any sort of TV Tuner)?
If so, please provide the exact make and model of it.

The point here is that we want to try and fix all the possible 3rd party driver issues in order to see if this is hardware/compatibility or software. Also, be sure that you have ALL available Windows Updates.

Then we wait and see if the BSOD's continue.....

Daemon Tools is still present in this memory dump.
Please ensure that it's uninstalled.

If necessary, try this to remove it safely:
1) Create a Restore Point using System Restore
2) Create a Repair disc:
Win8 - Press "WIN" and "R" to open the Run dialog...type "RECDISC" (without the quotes) and press ENTER
3) Test the System Repair disc to make sure that you can get to the System Restore entry when you boot from the disk (you may also want to try actually using System Restore to make sure that it works)
4) Download this free program (Autoruns for Windows) and use it to disable any instances of dtsoftbus01.sys that are starting (or any other Daemon Tools entries) (DO NOT DELETE - only disable by removing the checkmark in the left hand column)
5) Check in Device Manager (to include showing hidden devices from the View menu item) and ensure that any instances of dtsoftbus01.sys (or any other Daemon Tools entries) are "Uninstalled" (DO NOT DISABLE THESE).
6) Check in the Services applet (services.msc) to be sure any instances of dtsoftbus01.sys or any other Daemon Tools entries are disabled.
7) Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and rename the dtsoftbus01.sys driver to dtsoftbus01.BAD (search the hard drive for it if it's not in C:\Windows\System32\drivers).

In the event that the system doesn't boot:

1) Boot from the System Repair disc and use the Command Prompt option to rename hssdrv6.BAD to hssdrv6.sys
Code:
ren C:\Windows\System32\drivers\dtsoftbus01.BAD C:\Windows\System32\drivers\dtsoftbus01.sys
2) Boot from the System Repair disc and use the System Restore option to restore the system to a point before the changes were made.

Good luck!

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

hey again usasma thanks alot for you help,

First about the drivers i went to the website that i found in your link (Realtek) i selected second option 10/100m fast ethernet since i have 100/100 internet, its correct right? then it gives me options PCI, PCI Express, USB 1.1, USB 2.0, i have no idea what either of those are so i pick PCI Express since simple PCI didnt have windows 8 instatalion, i download it install and will see what happens.

Now about daemon tool,i want to make it clear that i dont have it runing when the BSODS happen, does it matter? I use it like once a month, but anyways i uninstalled it. Any options what could replace daemon?

You have a Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
This is a Gigabyte Ethernet (GBE) 10/100/1000M Gigabit Ethernet
It's PCI Express (PCIe) also

If Daemon Tools is installed, it's drivers are running when you boot the computer - regardless if you've launched the program or not.
It must be uninstalled. I've seen Virtual Clone CD recommended by others - but haven't used any of them myself

Try this stuff for the video errors: Video TDR Timeout - 0x116 + 0x117 - Sysnative Forums
Also try the video tests here: Hardware Diagnostics

Don't have time for the memory dumps just now (I'm late for work). Will try to get to them this afternoon or tomorrow morning first thing.

Memory dumps seem to point at networking stuff and video.
Please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Also, there seems to be a lot of different errors - which could be suggestive of a hardware problem. Please start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
