Driver IRQ not less or equal (iaStorA.sys)

Hi all,
I am getting BSOD when resuming computer from sleep and hibernate.

Thank you

System One

  • OS
    Windows 8 home 64 bit
    Computer type
    Laptop
    System Manufacturer/Model
    Dell Inspiron 15R special edition
    CPU
    Intel core i7 3632QM @2.20 GHZ
    Graphics Card(s)
    Radeon 2GB
SSD's were temperamental when they first came out, but their reliability has improved greatly over the last year or two. There are 2 things that MUST be checked on systems with BSOD's and SSD's:
1) That the SSD firmware is the latest available for the SSD
2) That the storage controller drivers on the motherboard are the most recent. They must date from late 2012 or later. This is ALL controllers, not just the one that the SSD is attached to.

The WER section of MSINFO32 shows BSOD's blaming iaStorA.sys - a driver component of the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) program. The memory dumps blame the same thing.

I would start by updating the Intel RST drivers to the latest available, Win8 compatible version. If the latest version isn't available at the PC manufacturer's website, then you'll have to download them from http://downloadcenter.intel.com (DO NOT use the Enterprise version)

As these are STOP 0xD1 errors - we may be able to coax a bit more info out of the system by running Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Please also run any manufacturer's utilities on the SSD - just in case there's a problem with it.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Thank you usama for providing suggestion. I called Dell to fix driver problem after seeing your post. There was incorrect settings which was causing this issue according to Dell representative. "write-back cache" was enabled in Intel Rapid Storage Technology but should be disabled. Don't know how this setting is causing problem but I am not getting BSOD after disabling "write-back cache".
Thank you.
