New computer, random BSOD's

Computer is only 2-3 days old, I get random BSODs, I formatted it with the windows "refresh your pc"(does that counts as formatting?) and I still get random BSODs... I only have 2 dumps, but I had the bsod 7-9 times in 2-3 days.

I viewed dump files with bluescreenview and hal.dll might be the problem, I really need to know if this is a hardware or driver issue,

thanks for this awesome forum,

Edit: I have disabled hibernation feature because it was taking so much space on the SSD, I dont think that is the problem but just saying.

Sounds like a faulty HDD to be honest. Brand new, Happens after a refresh and blames the hal.dll file as the cause. Worth Resetting the laptop fully to be 100% sure.

Windows is installed in kingston hpyerX ssd, I also have a 750gb hdd. Is there a way for me to test the drives without formatting them?

edit: I have used HD tune, it didnt showed any errors.

Refresh isn't a "format"
Nor is "Reset" (IMO) - but it comes very, very close

I'll be back either this evening or tomorrow AM (Eastern time in the US) to run the memory dumps. I'm late for work right now.

The Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service/KillerNetManager is known to cause BSOD's. Please follow the workaround instructions here:
First, open the Run dialog (Win + R keys) and type in "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Scroll down and locate the "Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service" and right click on it. Select "Stop"
Right click on it again and this time select "Properties"
In the dropdown box for "Startup type", select "Disabled", then click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the window

Next, open Task Manager (right click on TaskBar and select "Task Manager")
Click on the "More details" dropdown (if present)
Click on the "Startup" tab
Scroll down and locate the "KillerNetManager" entry, right click on it and select "Disable"

Finally, restart the system in order for the changes to take affect.

SSD's were temperamental when they first came out, but their reliability has improved greatly over the last year or two. There are 2 things that MUST be checked on systems with BSOD's and SSD's:
1) That the SSD firmware is the latest available for the SSD
2) That the storage controller drivers on the motherboard are the most recent. They must date from late 2012 or later. This is ALL controllers, not just the one that the SSD is attached to.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
