Hello,

I have changed my graphic card from ATI HD4650 DDR2 to NVIDIA FX 770M DDR3. The OS started to give video_tdr_failure so I decided to do a fresh install. Eve after fresh install i still get the error randomly, may it be when I start firefox, or close mediaplay classic etc. I run benchmark tests ,memory test but I could not find anything. My temps are good, when I game it is around 80C-degree. The thing is the driver I install is from laptopvideo2go with modified inf since the original drivers from nvidia can not detect the card. Used latest driver version. Changed the firmware of the to latest one which was no help at all for this case. Any help would be appriciated, I may return the card if it is not driver related and the card is actually at the end of its life.

My system is:
CPU: X9100 C0 Stepping @ 3.06GHz 1.125V
VGA: NVidia FX 770M 512MB DDR3
RAM: 2x2 DDR2 800MHz 5-5-5

Please return the card. Having to use specially modded drivers to detect the card isn't a good solution.

Hi, thanks for your advise, however i have to buy a card and the price was worth it, i guess. I found the solution on the net and it was due to the powermizer, used powermizer switch while installing the drivers and it solved my problem. No longer bluescreens.

So, using Powermizer Switch (and turning off Powermizer) solved the BSOD's?
I've seen a few of these problems recently and haven't found a decent solution until now.
Thanks for letting us know!

Yes exactly, turning off the powermizer during the installation solved BSOD problem.
