Windows 8 being frozen randomly

I got Acer 5755G. I upgraded from Win 7 to Win 8 but laptop is freezing. Randomly...

If you have a clean, fresh install of Win7, upgrades usually work fine
If you've been using the Win7 installation for a while, then upgrades don't usually work well.
I suggest a clean install even if it's an upgrade - it's much less trouble in the long run.

As there are no memory dumps in the uploaded files, please upload this info:

Please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc)
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

Please be sure that you have ALL available Windows Updates

Recently I've seen issues with the USB Mobile network adapters similar to what you're using. Please ensure that you have the latest, Win8 compatible version of the software/drivers for this device.

These devices have problems in Device Manager:

The first device is most likely Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter. Is it deliberately disabled? If so, why?
The second and 3rd devices are for your Broadcom Media Card reader. Please install the drivers for this device.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions). They may also cause freezes/lockups.

Before that problem and even before Windows 8, rams were faulty so they changed them.

I had problems long before I had USB Mobile Network.

I shut wireless down because I don't need it, generally.

I upgraded 2 times and both of them were fresh Windows 7, because I gave laptop to technical service and got it back. At second upgrade, I upgraded and opened Windows 8. It became frozen immediately even though it was fresh installment.

Have you installed the drivers for the Broadcom Media Card Reader?
Have you removed Daemon Tools as I suggested?

If so we can safely wait to see if the BSOD's have stopped.

I did it but I'm not sure because I'm at vacation and I don't use my laptop oftenly. Lots of people have "freezing" problem with their Windows 8's so maybe it Microsoft's fault.

Also, laptop still has guarantee. I will send it to technical service after my vacation and I hope they will format HDD and install fresh Windows 7 I won't upgrade it to 8.
