Hi and good day to everyone!

The week before the last, I installed Windows 8 Pro x64 on my MSI GE60. Since then, i have had a few BSODs. Every few days I get a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE upon startup, though it only happens once in a day. I installed and updated all the drivers needed.
I only have one minidump file because I accidentally deleted them when I used CCleaner.

Here is the minidump file:

Hello RioMelom,

Please take these recommendations with a grain of salt; however, they might be worth looking into:

Your BSOD obviously is pointing to a driver state issue, so on that premise, I went to the MSI website and found a firmware update that ONLY applies if you are upgrading to Windows 8. This is an update to the WLAN/BT power control policy. So, you might want to check it out here (if this applies to your rig):
MSI Global ? Notebook & Tablet - GE60 0NC

You might also want to check to make sure you are on the latest BIOS as well.

Good luck.

I'l try the update. As for the BIOS, I haven't thought about it as I was afraid of breaking my laptop in the process. I'll start reading up on it though. If the update doesn't work, I'll try to update my BIOS.

Thanks for replying! :D

Sorry for the late post.

I somehow fixed it by turning off the fast start-up option.

If something comes up again, I'll try the BIOS update
