please help me. my laptop is experiencing blue screen of death. it was started when i upgrade my windows 7 starter to windows 7 ultimate. I just upgrade it using serial key. After I finished upgrading it, I update it in windows update. after installing the updates, my laptop experience blue screen of death. So I decided to reformat my laptop and change its OS to windows 8 pro. But now, I detected that my system is not good. I use scannow but it can't fix the problem. I grab all my dumps and I hope that someone will help to my problem. Thanks in advance.

Deepak - please start your own topic so that your issues will get the individual attention that they deserve. Windows 7 forums are here: Windows 7 Help Forums

jake11aina - Thanks for posting the requested information! Here's what I got from the reports:

There are no memory dumps in the uploaded reports. Please try this:
Upload Dump Files:
NOTE: If using a disk cleaning utility, please stop using it while we are troubleshooting your issues.
Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the contents of the folder. Then upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Left click on the first minidump file.
Hold down the "Shift" key and left click on the last minidump file.
Right click on the blue highlighted area and select "Send to"
Select "Compressed (zipped) folder" and note where the folder is saved.
Upload that .zip file with your next post.

If you have issues with "Access Denied" errors, try copying the files to your desktop and zipping them up from there. If it still won't let you zip them up, post back for further advice.

If you don't have anything in that folder, please check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.DMP. If you find it, zip it up and upload it to a free file hosting service. Then post the link to it in your topic so that we can download it.

Also, search your entire hard drive for files ending in .dmp, .mdmp, and .hdmp. Zip up any that you find and upload them with your next post.

Then, follow the directions here to set your system for Minidumps (much smaller than the MEMORY.DMP file): Set MiniDumpMore info on dump file options here: Overview of memory dump file options for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2

MSINFO32 shows out of 7 memory dumps there were 4 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers)
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

The system also has lot's of Critical Kernel-Power events - which are usually a sign of a hardware problem.

Please start on the hardware diagnostics - they are located here: Hardware Diagnostics

sir, I don't know how to use the diagnostic test. I burn it on cd and I also used USB flash drive but when I boot it, nothings happen. Is the memtest ISO image is only 67KB? I don't know if the ISO image has an error or my doing is an error.

my CPU is 48 degree Celsius
other components is 40 degree celsius
and my GPU, I can't find it's temperature.

my laptop experience again a BSOD. These are the files I gathered. If it is not what you are needed, just tell me what to do.

Sir please wait for the memory.dmp. It can't upload because of internet connection.

1) Did you use an ISO burning program to burn the ISO file to a CD? DO NOT just copy it to the CD as it won't work that way.
2) Did this system come (from Acer) with Win8 installed already - or did you install Win8 yourself?

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

no I did not use iso burner. I just extract and install it on cd and on USB I used the memtest usb installer. Is it ok if I use powerISO tool?

No I'm the one who installed windows 8.

Is that all links you post are all driver updates? How about if I use driverscanner2013? I have that apps installed.

Is it ok if I use the windows memory diagnostics tool? I found it on my laptop. Maybe it is built-in apps.

You can use the PowerISO tool. Make sure that you use a tool to burn the ISO to the disk. This will ensure that the files needed to boot the system are put into the right place on the disk. Just copying them doesn't do this and the disk won't boot because of that.

Do not pay attention to anything below the:
Analysis:
The following is for informational purposes only.
The stuff below that is just for reference should the problems continue.

You can try the Windows Memory Diagnostics tool - but I'm not certain that it will always find memory problems. In other words, if it tells you there's a problem - then there's a problem. But if it doesn't tell you that there's a problem, there's a possibility that you may have a memory problem anyway.

sir, after I run the diagnostic test that you refer, how I will collect the information on the test?

the iso file of memtest is corrupted. When I burning it on USB, say's "the selected file is not a valid ISO file."

I am not familiar with the use of MemTest86+ on a USB drive. You may want to post in the hardware forums for assistance in setting up the USB drive: Drivers & Hardware - Windows 8 Forums

As for test results - if RED shows up in the bottom ½ of your screen, then there's a RAM problem. If no RED shows up, then it's presumed to be OK.
