I checked the minidump for you and I have an alternative theory on the crash. The memory dump lists nvlddmkm.sys as the cause of the crash. This is the driver for your NVIDIA graphics card. The timestamp on the driver is Tue Jul 27 00:54:50 2010.

Do the Following:
1) uninstall the graphics card driver
2) install the latest stable driver version from NVIDIA's website.
3) monitor for additional BSODs
Tip   Tip
look for updates to your graphics card drivers as least once a month

Other important information:
warning   Warning
Please uninstall Daemon Tools. This is a known cause of BSODs in windows. Windows 8 can now mount .iso images without daemon tools.

update the following driver: jmcr.sys Mon Jul 20 07:39:02 2009

the problem is persistent!!. i have installed the latest graphic card driver(314.22) for my gtx 460m. but the shutdown problem is still there, when i uninstalled avast and deamon tools, i can use the laptop for at least 1 hours, and max of 3 hours (since i left the laptop on to see whether it will shutdown by itself or not)

after i install the latest driver for my graphic card, i can only spend less than 5 mins in desktop before it will shutdown. by i managed to grab the latest RAR file of the event and i put the attachment together in the original post.

i think 2 days ago im using Windows Recovery Option to restore to the point where i didnt install any Graphic Card, im not sure whether it is affecting the memory dump files, but thinking back, 16th is the last day i saw Memory dump blue screen. past 2 days it just shutdown without giving any error notifications nor BSOD

Frack, just out of curiousity. when you wrote timestamp of the driver is outdated. i recalled i didnt installed any graphic card driver during that time. and at the same time. at Device Manager, Setup Display, when i tried to upgrade the driver through Properties manually, it said i already have the latest driver.

is there any ways or guide for me to uninstall graphic card thoroughly? maybe after that i can try to install the latest driver.

1 more thing. i googled my issues and i found a forum whereby the person have exactly the same problem as i do, but he said that he managed to solve the problem by solving Sharing/Conflicts hardware in his laptop. he said he uninstall the graphic card, install the latest Intel software (i dont know what he meant by this) and then install graphic card again.

i can post the link here, but i dont know whether i should post a link from another forum in here....

please reply, thanks in advance

Updated

i noticed my laptop is rarely auto shutdown before i entered desktop. i meant at user login and password. is this an indicator that during startup at desktop, some software runs and perhaps causing my laptop to crash. logically, no applications or laptop's process is started during "user login and password" windows right? so thats why my laptop didnt shutdown during that time

MSI Afterburner (along with Riva Tuner and EVGA Precision) are known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys). Please un-install it immediately!

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

I noted a lot of unexplained shutdowns in the event logs (Event ID 41). I'd start to suspect overheating problems. Please monitor your temps with this free utility: HWiNFO, HWiNFO32 & HWiNFO64 - Hardware Information and Analysis Tools Also, when the laptop shuts down, feel around on the case to see if any particular area feels hot. Some areas that overheat may not have sensors - so they may not show up in the HWINFO display.

Clean out the vents with canned air. DO NOT use a vacuum or an air compressor as they can cause damage to the components inside of the case.

I'd didn't perform a full analysis here, just pointed out something I noticed while reading the topic. Please continue to follow the advice of the other helpers.

Good luck!

at the same time. at Device Manager, Setup Display, when i tried to upgrade the driver through Properties manually, it said i already have the latest driver.

Updating a driver through windows update is never recommended. It often installs older versions of drivers which can cause problems. To install the latest GPU drivers you should do the following:

  1. uninstall the current driver through add/remove program
  2. download the newest stable driver from the manufacturer's website (NVIDIA for you)
  3. run the installer

hai usasama and frack.

i have uninstall the MSI afterburner, but the shutdown problem still happened, as far as heat concerned. when it was shutdown, there are no place feeling hot, i mean only warm. barely.. as i just start my laptop. and yet the shutdown still occured.
i cant install the software u suggesting coz my laptop cant stay in desktop even for 3 mins. it will shutdown after 3-5 mins.

but i use the oppurtunity to get RAR file to post

i never use MSI afterburner to overcloack, i use it only to watch GPU heat (celcius) which is max 80 yesterday when im playing games and FPS for any games i played..

i have uninstalled the graphic card driver, by using add/remove programs, and the remaining in the Safe Mode using DriverSweeper.
and then install it normally. but the problem is still there

im suspecting my graphic card driver instead...

today i get 2 latest dmp files that you guys wanna see. please do check

thanks
