BSOD-ing often, seems to be compromising other aspects.

Hey there guys, first forum post so apologies if I miss something (I did read the instructions though).

Relatively new Windows 8 Dell Laptop, came with W8 installed. A little while ago it started to occasionally blue screen and before long it is now doing so quite regularly.

Also, might be unrelated, but my computer now seems to be struggling immensely more than it was. Simple tasks like opening Word documents sometimes freeze and often it struggles to do anything within 10 minutes of start-up. As well as this, things such as my League of Legends install seem to be corrupting themselves. I've been using "Blue Screen Viewer" (attached a screenshot) to try and see what is going on and the main culprit seems to be ntoskrnl.exe (to do with memory management according to a quick wiki).

Some sort of hard drive error seems to fit both of these. I've been meaning to run chkdsk but I'm worried what might happen if my computer bluescreens in the middle of it (I don't even know if its possible, I was just worried I'd corrupt something bigger).

(Dump files attached - my settings were set to gather "Automatic Dump", if this isn't the form you need I can change it and wait like 10 minutes for it to BSOD again. Sigh.)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, almost always computer issues are prefaced by a quiet, but noticeable single click from inside my computer - could this be something to do with the hard-drive as well? After the click my computer will basically not work for the next 5 minutes, then suddenly all my inputs will occur at once as it recovers.

McAfee. Uninstall it. Use the special tool available from them to do so. Set Windows Defender and Firewall services to Auto.

You have had a ton of crashes of all different types, with none specifying which driver is responsible. You either have a memory problem (naaaaahhhh) or McAfee gone is going to fix it (yaaaaaaa).

Your computer will spring back to life too.
