Background - - Bought open box HP G7-2535 -RAM upgraded from 4 to 8 - AMD A8 Quad Core Processor

Every cold boot I get this screen, then everything else works fine. Did BIOS memory check which also came back fine. Please help, scratching my head.
Also not sure if it's normal, but the laptop seems to take forever to shut down.

I apologize if this has already been posted.

Hi Breezy, im still learning how to read BSOD codes and mini dumps so i cant help you there, but in the meantime until someone comes along with more knowledge I can direct you to issues that can cause BSOD.

First can you start the computer in SAFEMODE WITH NETWORKING

If you can and it is stable then run MSCONFIG from a RUN or CMD box

Goto STARTUP and disable all startup items.

Reboot into normal windows

If reboot ok and stable, run a quick virus scan

If clean goto WINDOWS UPDATE and install the important and recommended updates, it may take a few reboots

If it crashes then restart in SAFEMODE and run MSCONFIG again and click the SERVICES tab, click the HIDE MICROSOFT SERVICES box then disable all services, then reboot normally.

Try to continue the updates

If the crashes continue in normal mode then restart the computer in VGA mode from the SAFEMODE menu on boot..

Then finish your updates and try to reboot in normal mode.

If you laptop is only stable in VGA or SAFEMODE then uninstall your video drivers from the device manager menu.

Let me know how this goes and well continue from there..

Thank you for the information. I have been sure that all updates have been successfully installed. I have not had any issues installing these updates. I have also updated BIOS. I will try what you have recommended later and will post back with results. Thanks!

Also, another helpful piece of info, because this was an open box item, Best Buy wiped the computer. I am not sure exactly what they did. Maybe they did something incorrectly?

Thank you for pointing me to the msconfig utility. Apparently, the computer was set to do a limited startup. I have set it back to default and it started up fine. Not ready to call solved yet, but I had one good cold boot.
