Hello EightForums team and others ,
a couple of days ago i started to get occasional Bluescreens while playing online games.
Due to the fact that I'm not very skilled in fixing these kinds of problems, I decided to ask you guys for help.

Information about the Bluescreens : They occur randomly while playing online games (Dota2) and having my Browser and Teamspeak 3

Attachments : renamed SF-Folder (as requested by the posting instructions)

Thanks in advance for your help ,
Robert

PS: Files might be german as my OS is in german - hope that doesnt make a difference

Took a look through your files and three things of note, First start by uninstalling Avast! it is one of the primary causes of your BSODs:

Code:
fffff880`0cc79768 fffff880`05d3065dUnable to load image \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\aswSnx.SYS, Win32 error 0n2*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for aswSnx.SYS

Windows 8 comes with windows defender pre-installed use it in combination with Malwarebytes Antimalware and it should be more than enough for virus protection. Tip when installing Malwarebytes be sure to uncheck the box asking you to start a free trial.

Next check for updates to your Video card drivers they seem to be failing as well:

Code:

You may also want to run the system file checker I noticed several NTFS errors. You can run the system file checker by entering the following into an elevated command prompt:

Code:
sfc /scannow

first of all , thanks for replying.

As suggested I deinstalled Avast! and updated my AMD-drivers to the latest version. However , when checked my system via sfc /scannow it bluescreened twice (once while having MBAM scanning my system , once without (only this chrome-window opened)). Bluescreen Logs (via SF) are attached.

PS: will it help to just format my harddrive and reinstall my windows ?

Again , thanks in advance
Robert

A couple more things to try before you go re-installing the OS:

it looks like your sata/ahci driver is very very old infact it predates windows 7:

Code:
adpahci adpahci Kernel [COLOR=#ff0000]01.05.2007[/COLOR]

Driver Reference Table - adpahci.sys

Please update it from here: Adaptec - Technical Support

also please run the following command from an elevated command prompt it should check for, and hopefully fix any bad blocks on the hard drive:

Code:
chkdsk /f /r

and last run through this tutorial on hard drive diagnostics to check for a potentially failing drive:

uhm , little problem , I cant figure out which driver to download (as there are a lot of sub categories and I don't know which one to choose)

Edit1 : the driver might be that old because I had win 7 on that computer earlier and just installed win 8 over it (without formating the hard drive)

Edit2 :chkdsk /f /r got stuck twice on 27% , when force restarted the 2nd time my complete windows was damaged -> formated hard drive and reinstalling windows atm. Will try chkdsk again once installation completes and update my post.

For the Tim being just continue with the other steps, I'm not sure which driver you need either, do you have a SATA or RAID controller installed in the PC?

no clue which controller is installed :/ HDD is a WD 500GB Green something...(shouldn't the driver be auto-updated anyway due to my reinstallation of Windows 8 Pro on the formated hard drive ?).
however , ran chkdsk again (started it before you replied) and its stuck on 27%... this time i'll let it continue over night.
Will do the hard drive check afterwards -if necessary- (already passed the smart-test [WD diagnostic tool] just before i chkdsk'ed the first time (before formating) -> shall I do a full-test?)

Edit : chkdsk finished , not sure whether it found something or not (wasn't staring at the stuck screen all the time :p) , however if you tell me where i can find the logfile i'll upload it (if it's needed)

Check your windows updates settings to make sure that drivers are being updated automatically, I look forward to seeing the results of your check disk, and last yes please do the full or long test (it varies depending on what software you are using to do the test)

As I said i dont know where the log is saved , so you'll have to tell me where I can find it if i shall upload it.
In addition to that I downloaded the Toshiba HDD diagnostic program (earlier i had mixed up my HDD's and tested it with the WD diagnostic , this one got a toshiba , laptop got a WD) but when i want it to start a test it keeps saying : Please select the target drive to test (while not allowing me to select anything) -> shall I use another program , if yes , which one?

Edit 1 : used the WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic and passed the extended test.
Edit 2 : multiple bluescreens while installing my games (first one while installing two of them at once) , all the other ones while installing / repairing only one

could it be overheating?
is this a laptop or desktop?
have you tried safe mode?
unplug all unnecessary devices attached to your computer including USB and ethernet
