Solved BSOD storahci.sys

Hi there,

Recently since I have installed windows 8 I have been getting a lot of BSOD's, they happen when I shut down my computer, install windows updates or try to start a program like CPU-Z.

I've been searching on google and on these forums but I haven't found a solution yet.

Hopefully someone can help me.

StorAHCi is the MS AHCI driver. Install the AHCI driver from Intel, AMD or nVIDIA depending which chipset you use.

For example if from Intel then install: Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver

Hmm okay I have installed the JMicron SATA2 driver ver:R1.17.52.02 that I found on the manufacturers website, everything seems to be working again. I feel really silly now that I have overlooked this haha.

Anyways thank you, hopefully I will never see those bsod again they were driving me insane.
