hello,

I've just received a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSOD. I had BSOD in the past but it was due to failing (now failed) hard drive. After, I took the hard drive out and after surfing the internet using Google Chrome, the computer freezed and the error showed up. This has happened to me months ago and I tried to debug myself but I wasn't able to figure out the culprit. The most recent dump is the newest dump that I will upload that contained the Watchdog error.

If anymore information is needed, please don't hesitate to ask

Thank you in advanced

2 recent BSOD's caused be jraid.sys. jraid.sys is the JMicron SATA controller driver. Your current version is dated 09/17/2012. Please check if they have an update, download and install it.

Thank for the reply,

I tried to look for an update for this in the past but after a long time, I had no issues with the SATA controller as I need it, as I have a couple IDE hard drives left and my new motherboard has no IDE slot anymore. When I read the readme on the driver it said it was the final release for compatibility for windows 8, so I seriously doubt ill be seeing an update. I guess ill just have to put up with it or find another Windows 8 compatible IDE/SATA controller

I've just looked at your system specs and noticed that you have McAfee Total Protection, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware installed in your PC. McAfee is known to have caused a lot of problems with BSOD's so I suggest that you download a special uninstaller from McAfee website to completely uninstall it.

Yes I know I have both installed. McAfee I've paid for and I have no issues with it. Malwarebytes I use to take out the stuff Mcafee doesn't. Mind you, I have the free version so I don't have live protection from Malwarebytes. But if it does persist I will uninstall Malwarebytes and see if having that gives it an issue or vise versa. Thanks for the reply again!
