Hi guys!
I'm new at this forum so bare with me, i really need your help.

Iv'e had a couple of hundred bsods during a timeframe of a year or so, but i still haven't found out a solution to solve them. Iv'e tried to locate what's making all the bsods and the conclusion is the following:

Atapi.sys
hal.dll
ntoskrnl.exe

Earlier i had windows 7 ultimate but i just recently changed to windows 8 pro. Iv'e also changed gpu and ssd drive just recently...

Iv'e attached the complete zip as requested and i'm hoping that you guys can stretch this out a bit for me.

If there's anything i can do to make things easier just tell me and i'll try the best i can.

Kind Regards // Sunshine

All BSOD's indicated atapi.sys was the cause. You might have a corrupted atapi.sys, please open elevated command prompt and run sfc /scannow to check if it is corrupted. If it does not find the error then your CD/DVD or Cable might be defective.

Sorry if this sounds stupid: But i ran the test and Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and it successfully repaired them.

Is that all there's to it? Will my OS run smooth and clean as it did before this problems started or is there anything more that needs to be done?

Yes, apparently the atapi.sys was corrupted and fixed.
Thanks for reporting back.

Hi again.

After a couple of days the problems have not been solved. They seem to recur even more now. It's the same files/drivers like before and a couple of more files have been added as well.

I'm posting all the files in a zip again to see if you could be so kind and try to help me once again.

It would mean alot if one of you guys could help me.

Kind Regards

Your recent BSOD's dated 3/12 indicated new problem with memory corruption. Open the case and make sure that all memory sticks are seated firmly and download Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool , burn it to CD/USB then run the memory diagnostic, preferably over night.

And while the case is opened. Double check the CD/DVD cable or if you have another cable then replace it.

Iv'e already ran memtest, 5 loops where no problems were detected. How many loops is enough? Different people say different things in that matter.

But i'll surely try to disconnect my rom sins i don't use it anyway. Last time i tried to it sounded strange, maybe thats the problem?

Please understand the BSOD crash dumps only give you a glue what may be the problem with your PC. It does not tell you exactly what's wrong so we have to try different things to isolate the problem. Memory diagnostic test sometimes fails to detect all the errors in the first few passes so you just have to be patient. There are a lot of variables that we don't know when doing online troubleshooting such as what applications you've installed in your PC, what kind of hardware you have etc...
