Hi okay so i was just running a virtual machine on vmware and running some few other apps including spotify, skype.
Then suddenly a bsod came up on my screen (The error was: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (Win32k.sys)).
So i restarted. This boot took longer than usual though and the metro start screen took forever to load the icons. Later when i was only on skype and was extracting one archive, the bsod came again.

Please help
I attached the minidumps in the attachments

Your BIOS dates from 2011. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

Please enable them and update their software/drivers. Feel free to disable them again after updating them.

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.
Please un-install all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Un-install a program
Then, download (but DO NOT install) a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD (in the upper right corner of the page)
Use this procedure to install the DRIVER ONLY: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Un-install". Reboot for changes to take affect.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's. If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Thank you for the valuable information :) I really appreciate it. The bsod stopped, it somehow fixed itself i have no idea what actually happened. But there is another problem that came when updating my skype. When i log onto skype, my whole explorer.exe freezes. Then when i try to click an icon on the deskop or on the taskbar it just crashes and restarts and that loops forever. I'm not sure whether it's the new skype update or something but it started happening since i updated it. The explorer unfreezes and acts completely normal when i log outta skype. (I already tried clearing all the skype folders in AppData, ProgramData and so on. It didn't help at all.) So i ended up using the metro version of skype which is quite confusing for me :(.

Also the dvd drive is disabled because for some reason it causes my hard drive to always be used (the hard drive led keeps on blinking). Acer has released an update for the hard drive firmware but i'm scared to install it :( I don't wanna end up with a broken hard drive. There is also a bios update on the Acer website but i'm not sure whether to install it or not.

Ill check the devices you posted :)

EDIT: The laptop is not overclocked at all

I have had some issues with the "Click to call" Skype extension. It's not needed to use Skype - so try uninstalling it.

Use this free tool to check the shell extensions on explorer.exe: ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows
Disable the non-Microsoft extensions, reboot, and see if that fixes the problem.

If it does, then enable ½ of the non-Microsoft extensions, reboot, and see if that fixes the problem.
That'll tell you if the problem is among those that you disabled - or not.
Then select the group that the problem is in and disable ½ of them, etc, etc, etc - until you find the one that's causing it.

Good luck!
