Today I got several messages saying my computer had run into a problem & had to shut down.
In a bluish message.
I assume that is a bsod since I never got a message like that before.

I did some research & did the Memory test.
No problems found.
Ram seems OK.

I did shut off Avast & now just use Norton & have not gotten the message again.

I have attached the zip from the 7 forums Tool.
I hope I renamed it correctly.

Would you be needing the CBS log ?

Thanks for your assistance.

If you were using Avast and Norton at the same time - that could very likely have caused the crashes. Only use one anti-virus and one firewall at the same time.

A lot of antivirus/firewall stuff in the memory dump. This is suggestive of a problem with competing antivirus/firewall applications. Remove all but one antivirus and all but one firewall (double check the Windows Firewall also).

Avast shows up in the raw stack text, so that's another suggestion that the multiple antivirus programs may be causing your problems.

Outdated components from most of the antivirus programs. Whichever one you choose to leave on the system - make sure that you update it to the latest available, Win8 compatible version.

Solved ?

OK.
I got one blue screen since.
Read the CBS log & found the reason to be "Trusted Installer" service was not set to "Automatic".
Fixed that.Set it to Automatic.

I updated all drivers. (12)

So far everything seems to be OK.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
:)

edit --- I'll wait a while before marking this as Solved......
