Crashes during sleep, deactivates Windows 8

I have a mostly new Windows 8 machine that I built (new motherboard, RAM, and case). Getting frequent crashes during sleep. When I wake the computer it informs me that the computer crashed and was restarted while it was in sleep mode. After this, I lose functionality on some of my USB ports (the front panel ports and those on my monitor). Also, my Windows 8 license is deactivated and cannot be re-activated. When I try to restart the machine, the system hangs and I have to use the reset button. However, after it restarts, everything is fine, Windows is activated and all my USB ports are working. It's very weird. I contacted Microsoft support, because of the activation issues and they basically did a clean install of Windows 8. However, that did not solve any issues.

Make sure Windows is up-to date.
Run System File Checker to check/repair the integrity of system files.

Also, I noticed a very strange thing. When I looked at your MSINFO32 file, most of the information under Software Environment is blank.

If all the above option fails, you must [DEL]http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2293-refresh-windows-8-a.html [/DEL] http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2302-reset-windows-8-a.html

SFC /SCANNOW didn't turn up anything. I redid MSINFO 32 and this time it has the Software Environment. Not sure why it messed up last time. Although the SF Diagnostics was giving me some issues yesterday. FYI, it doesn't do a good job of handling the User files in non-standard locations. I have all my data files on a 1TB data drive to free up space on my smaller SSD system and program drive. Instead of creating the output in D:\Roger\Desktop, it is creating a D:\Users\Roger\Desktop and spitting out the output there.

Hopefully there is something useful in the MSINFO. I'm not really keen on doing a Windows Reset. I have several apps that have licenses that will have to be deactivated and it's generally a huge pain. Makes me miss the simplicity and reliability of OS X.

Thanks.

Sounds good Robert. :)
Sorry my PC crashed so didn't have the required tools to analyze the BSOD.

Had one crash during sleep yesterday, but it didn't deactivate Windows or mess up any USB ports. If it keeps doing it, I will generate all the info again.
